What’s your favorite color? A question Tim and I ask each other every few days. The answer is always changing. Sometimes inspired by a recent trip, other times by whatever movie we recently watched, but we always come back to green. Warm green like the spring grasses, cool green like an evergreen tree, or olive like the garnish of a martini. Here’s to our never ending love affair with green🌿

The little ring bearer in the fifth photo is a perfect representation of how I feel on long summer wedding days.
I think about this wedding day often. Sometimes because I think of the photo of the little guy completely sprawled out on the lawn, other times because it makes me wish all weddings had coffee at cocktail hour, but mostly because of the lovely family we were able to celebrate. It’s super special to photograph a wedding and then a few years later be invited back to capture their sister’s wedding🤍

on the rainy spring days I think about the waterlilies

What inspires your art? Tim and I think about this question a lot. For us I’d say it’s the art we see and expierence outside of our industry is our main inspiration. Walking through the MoMa in the Monet wing, awestruck by the waterlilies I turned to Tim and said, “that’s what I want our photos to feel like!”

Also shout out to the little butterfly who joined us for portraits, adding a nice pop of yellow to suit pants.

We started our year with an unforgettable wedding day filled with wonderful people, giraffes, mini ponies, and baby kangaroos.

side note: my instinct was for the caption to be a millennial joke about “hump day” but this is objectively a giraffe and they famously don’t have humps. also it’s Thursday.

Florida heat, Love Island, and new friendships ☀️
Looking at photos takes me right back to when they were taken. The conversations, the weather, what we did, and what we enjoyed that day. This gallery always makes me giggle because Tim and I pretty much spent the day chatting C+D’s ears off about Love Island, and my full conspiracy-level belief in Nicolandria. We laughed, braved the humid + hot Tampa air, and popped champagne. After their engagement session, Tim and I watched the Love Island season finale episode in our hotel room. Through our mutual obsession with Love Island that summer, we found some truly incredible friends.
Tim and I were on coffee date, reminiscing about C+D’s wedding day a few weeks ago. We couldn’t stop talking about how we smiled the whole day. We just feel so lucky to have the coolest job where we get to meet incredible people and celebrate with them on the most important days of their lives.
