Just announced! WNXP’s 2nd annual 91 Day celebration Aug. 31 at The Blue Room at Third Man Records! Shop from an eclectic group of local vendors and hear music from Nashville hip-hop artist Mike Floss, bootgaze project Bats, indie up-and-comers Sugadaisy and funky R&B outfit BEAN. We are truly geeked out and honored to be a part of this excellent collab beer!

We have an extra especial release party this Friday, and it’s time to meet the star of the show: CHELA!

Chela is an Amber Lager Especial brewed in collaboration with our buds Jesse and Audrey from The Secret Bodega! Inspired by our favorite dark lagers brewed south of the border, we set out to make the ultimate summer crusher. We began the brew day by cereal cooking 300 pounds of King Hickory corn from our NC malt pals Riverbend Malt and then mashed in a blend of Vienna, Pilsner and Bruhmalz. Step mashed and single decocted, we hopped throughout the boil with German grown Saphir for subtle lime notes. The heirloom corn provides flavors of hearth baked tortilla with a hint of baking spice, balanced by a light toasted note courtesy of the Vienna malt.

We’re hosting a big blowout fiesta this Friday with Secret Bodega for Chela’s release! Jesse and Audrey are slinging tacos for the first time under the Secret Bodega banner, and Kyle & Flip will be preparing three different micheladas using Chela + Secret Bodega’s very own mich mix: OG, cool cucumber, and mango-pineapple!

Friends, we’re so very excited to announce our first Sunday Bodega Market on July 16th from 10am-2pm! The Sunday Bodega will feature local Nashville makers and purveyors in the world of food, drink, fashion and art.

Living Waters Brewing will be slinging coffee & beer and we’ll be cooking up some delicious bodega bites.
