Part 1 of Meghan's maternity session - I had so much fun with this one! It was something new for me and a bit out of my comfort zone, but now I'm obsessed! I love the look we got in the studio, and beating the heat and humidity was a huge plus!

Hey there! This is my first post back in a little while. This summer was mainly about being present with my kids. One thing I love about my job is that I'm able to have a flexible schedule, and I try to prioritize family time and work at different parts of the year. We had an amazing summer packed with some traveling, lazy days, and lots of memories I'll hold close to my heart. This week school started, which has been bittersweet, but it means I'm back to my normal workflow.

While I wasn't very active on social media, I was still shooting, and there were some sessions that I absolutely loved! The weather this time of year can be challenging, but it's truly when we get the best sunsets. First up, I had to share Alex's session. An amazing foundation, CarsonStrong Foundation, reached out to tell me about Alex and ask if I would do pictures for her and her family. Alex was diagnosed with a rare cancer during her senior year of high school—so rare, doctors are still unsure exactly what it was and have been treating it as Ewing’s Sarcoma. She is finally in the maintenance phase and recently received clear scans. While she’s not in remission yet, her family and care team are hopeful. CarsonStrong Foundation helped send her and her family for a much needed break at Fort Myers Beach. We got some great shots of this beautiful warrior!

If you've made it this far, thanks for making it through the long post! I've had multiple messages so I wanted to mention that Fall/Christmas Minis will be announced very soon! Hopefully within the next week. Almost everything is set and ready, I'm just finalizing one more location and test shots for one other spot. I try to always give multiple new options that I know you'll love, and I'm really excited about this year's lineup!

Part one of Cali's senior shoot - A full circle moment that has brought me so much joy.

I first met Cali when she was 9 and going through cancer treatment. Her mom and I stayed in touch throughout the years, and when I got a message about doing Cali's senior pictures, I was beyond excited. It was so special to see her healthy and all grown up. We even recreated one of our favorite twirl pictures from the original shoot. You can scroll to see both the old and the new.

My heart feels so grateful that I get to share in these moments. I get to watch so much love, change, and growth throughout the years. It's hard to put into words what it feels like to see transformations like this. I also can't help but feel an emptiness as I think about other children that I wish I'd be doing the same for but will never have the chance. They equally have a place in my heart, and we continue to fight that childhood cancer gets more funding and awareness.

I told Cali that I hope she'll keep me in mind for her wedding one day and that I can continue to be a part of her special moments in life. She's as beautiful inside as she is out, and I know she's going to continue to do amazing things!

A few weeks back, I had the privilege of meeting the Carr family. I had never been to Captiva before, and I don't always do well on boats, but when I heard their story, there was no question in my mind that I had to make it work. TJ is battling cancer and has had a heck of a year. They were long overdue for pictures and really wanted this trip of a lifetime captured. I'm very thankful that my close friend Hollie T Photography traveled with me. It's a day that will stay in my heart for a while.

Watching TJ interact with his kids brought tears to my eyes. There's just so much love there. It's never lost on me how special it is that I get to capture these moments that will forever be remembered.
Being with the Carr family for a short time and seeing their love and positivity was such a good reminder for me to not stress the small stuff and to never take time for granted. Go on the trip, take the pictures, and cherish the time you get with your family.

Throwing it back to a warm, sunny day ☀️

Love them and loved this shoot! So much love and happiness there. Steph and I worked closely with picking out the perfect outfit combinations. Always feel free to reach out if you need help putting things together. It makes such a difference!

It has been a little while since my last post. The past few months have been pretty busy between the holidays, family time, and a whole bunch of shoots. I'm excited to share what I've been working on, but I knew my first shoot of the year had to be the Naylor family.

To give you a brief description on their story - After years of advocating for Giacomo (known as G), Liz found out he had a rare genetic condition called myotonic dystrophy. This unfortunately is an incurable disorder that affects every organ system leading to health issues and a shorter life expectancy. Just as Liz welcomed her fourth child, she found out that her other three children also had the same condition. Liz has done everything in her power to help her children experience as much of this world as possible and make as many beautiful memories as they can. I can only imagine the sacrifice and strength this has taken.

In March of 2023, they lost Gianna. You will see her face in the first picture, as they always have it with them as one way to help her memory live on. This past October, it was apparent that G's condition was getting worse. He decided he wanted to do something called "G's Last Stand" where he would visit as many people and places as possible. Naples was one of those places, and I was lucky enough to meet them on one of the days they were here.

This family is full of as much sweetness as they are strength. I had my daughter with me, and she instantly connected with the kids. It was a shoot I'll always remember. At one point I showed Isadora a picture on the back of my camera. She said, "Oh my God, I'm beautiful!" I confirmed that she absolutely is!

Doing these shoots will always be the most important shoots I ever do. I feel like they are what I was called to do and the reason God put me on this path. So the offer always stands, if you know someone going through an illness, tell them to reach out for a free shoot.
