One of the last things Dolly told Lainey Wilson was how to keep her marriage right.

They caught up in the weeks before Dolly died. Lainey said they talked about the business, the sacrifice, how special Carl was to Dolly, and how important Duck is to Lainey. That is when the advice came.

Dolly had fifty-eight years with Carl and knew what she was talking about. He never came to the shows. She never made him. They gave each other room, and it held.

She also told Lainey to take her time with Revelation and to go back to Psalms if she needed to catch her breath.

Lainey married Duck in May.
