It is not lost on me what an honor and privilege it is to serve couples so closely throughout one of their most important days 🤍

A few pieces of mulch snagged onto your dress somewhere in translation? Asphalt or dirt stains? A weak bustle that is falling every few minutes? I am there to direct, support and troubleshoot each moment of your day, big AND small, ensuring that each one goes off without a hitch!

Wedding days are a TEAM effort on all fronts - I am so thankful for & couldn’t do it without my incredible team of friends turned assistants who are so instrumental in the ex*****on of each day! 🤍 They are often working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring setup dreams to life, directing/fielding guest questions & dividing/conquering key points of the day with me!

This season I will have Lauren, Marissa, Kayla & Thrudy assisting - I am SO grateful & excited to have them each one alongside me for the ride! 🤍

A moment for one of my VERY favorite photo locations in the city: the Board of Trade! ✨

As I sit here drafting a weekend itinerary and working through transportation logistics for one of my upcoming summer weddings who plan to stop here, I was reminded of the days I worked in the BoT in my previous corporate life!

We saw SO many wedding parties come through taking photos at what felt like all hours and days of the week, my coworkers and I loved watching the action from afar!

Whenever my couples come to the BoT for photos now, everything feels SO full circle being on the other side of it! 🤍 So grateful!

A wedding day where we experienced everything from bright sunshine to light drizzles to pouring rain - nothing was going to stop S+Z from dancing in the rain and soaking up every moment of their absolutely perfect day!! ☔️

Wedding week forecasts can be such a last minute stressor, but I promise - I am here to support you through it and if you can stay focused on that you are marrying the LOVE of your life and that you have a team of amazing vendors, friends & family all gathered one place SO excited to support & celebrate YOU two - embracing our “plan B” (whether this be moving certain or all events inside, swapping photo locations to something covered, panic sourcing 20 umbrellas for your wedding party…) can and will be every single bit as sweet and special as our plan A! 🤍

Sharing a post on my blog today on a topic I have been wanting to write about forever!! 🤍

Children and your wedding day! ✨ To include, not include, possible exceptions to the rule - all of it!

The TLDR: my perspective as a parent, planner and guest is that I LOVE and appreciate an adults only event. This, in my opinion, is the ideal! The caveat to this is that most parents who *could* arrange for childcare *would* and there may be situations among your guest list where this is not possible: newborns, traveling to a city where the parents do not know anyone dependable to leave their little love(s) with, immediate family members who you hope to include in the festivities, etc.

Open, clear, thoughtful communication either way is absolutely key! Check out the linked post in my story for more considerations on this topic.

Timeless, elegant signage details 😍✨

On a practical note, I especially love signage (and decor in general!) that can be repurposed, so the trend of arched standing mirrors serving as welcome signs is an absolute favorite!!

Happy happy 🤍 day!!!

The first sentence on the homepage of my website since I launched this business in 2021 has read “I LOVE love” … and I will never change it! 😊 My “why” behind it all.

9 years and 2 toddlers later, and with our son’s birthday being the day before Valentine’s Day… our weekend will be spent birthday party prepping & making memories with our boys, but that is the beauty of it - how life changes & this day looks SO different but just as sweet over time! 💓
