🚨 A LITTLE PSA FOR POTENTIAL CLIENTS: LET’S TALK ABOUT AI- GENERATED EVENT PHOTOS. 🚨
Lately, I’ve been receiving A LOT of inquiries from potential clients sending me AI-generated event photos saying:
✨ “I want it to look EXACTLY like this!”
…and then following it with:
💰 “My budget is $250.”
or
💰 “I only have $500.”
Respectfully… excuse me? 😂
Let’s talk about it.
AI can create a gorgeous, over-the-top event in a matter of seconds. It can generate massive floral installations, elaborate tablescapes, custom-built structures, luxury furniture, extravagant balloon installations, specialty linens, chandeliers, signage, desserts, entertainment, and an endless list of beautiful details.
But here’s the part AI doesn’t show you:
Those things cost money.
There is a HUGE difference between creating a digital image of a dream event and actually sourcing, purchasing, transporting, setting up, installing, styling, and breaking down that event in real life.
So when you send me an AI-generated photo and say, “I want this EXACTLY, and my budget is $250,” the answer is going to be:
No, that budget does not support that vision.
And that’s okay! There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a $250 or $500 budget.
What matters is having realistic expectations that match your budget.
If you have a $500 budget, I can help you figure out what we CAN create for $500.
If you have a $5,000 budget, we have a completely different conversation.
If you have a $10,000+ budget, now we can start talking about bringing some of those WOW factors into the room.
But you cannot expect a $250 budget to produce a $2,500+ look.
And here’s another important reality check:
If you truly believe that creating that elaborate setup is “easy” because you saw an AI image generate it in 10 seconds…
By all means, give it a try yourself. 😉
You’ll quickly discover that event design involves much more than making something look pretty on a screen.
It involves sourcing.
It involves logistics.
It involves labor.
It involves rentals.
It involves transportation.
It involves setup.
It involves installation.
It involves breakdown.
It involves time.
It involves experience.
And most importantly…
It involves money.
So far, out of approximately 10 potential clients who have sent me AI-generated inspiration photos and requested that I recreate them, only ONE has had the budget to realistically support the vision they’re asking for.
ONE OUT OF TEN.
That statistic speaks for itself.
I LOVE when clients bring me inspiration photos. Please send them! I want to see your vision, your style, your colors, and the feeling you’re going for.
But let’s use those photos as INSPIRATION, not as a promise that the exact same thing can be produced for any budget.
