Searching for an adopter for Tuli’s mom, Skye 💗 I’m hoping to cast this wide (in particular to the East Coast) & could use all of your help in sharing 🙏🏽 If you know me, you know my sweet & sassy lovebug Tuli. As the universe would have it, a few weeks ago a DNA match popped up via for her father, Shadow. In connecting with Shadow’s new owner I learned that he and Tuli’s mother (Skye) were left behind when their original owner left the country. He is not expected to return and while Shadow has been fortunate to find a very loving home, Skye is now on her own & facing a lot of uncertainty with an October deadline. . .
I’ve been enthralled to have found Tuli’s parents. From what I know so far, her personality is a perfect mesh of the two. Tuli was even her mom’s mirror image as a puppy (see last slide). That said, I’m also crushed learning of their story and of Skye’s unknown future. . .
Skye is currently located in Old Bridge, New Jersey. She’s an 8-year old malamute-husky & is still bounding with energy. She’s incredibly sweet, great with all people & kids, and gets along fantastic with the resident Frenchie in her current temporary home though slow intros are always recommended with new dogs. She was also Shadow’s loving and loyal companion their entire lives together - they played endlessly and were the best of friends. It sounds like she would do just fine as a solo dog though & in fact might thrive having 1:1 attention and training. She exhibits many classic malamute-husky traits, so an experienced dog owner would be ideal. . .
I’m doing all that I can with outreach to find her a home before October. Assistance with transportation may be available. If you know any dog lovers in the East Coast and/or have connections to rescues, please help by sharing or tagging.
