🎉 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tickets are now on sale!

About the show: Based on the famous novel by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features an original score composed by Marc Shaiman with lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray) and a book by David Greig. The score also pays homage to the Leslie Bricusse/Anthony Newley score from the 1971 film with songs from the motion picture including “The Candy Man,” “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” “Oompa Loompa Song,” and “Pure Imagination.”

The world-famous W***y Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.

Performances will take place over two weekends:

10/17 at 7pm, 10/18 at 2pm, 10/19 at 2pm,

10/24 at 7pm, 10/25 at 2pm, 10/26 at 2pm.

Our exciting new Combat Theatre course will now be beginning classes September 23rd rather than August 25th as previously announced. Don't miss your opportunity to learn from Matthew Cowell, a highly skilled professional and Technical Director of Napa Valley College Performing Arts.

About the course: Through a combination of theory, practical exercises, complex choreography, and analysis of fight scenes, students will develop a deep understanding of portraying physical conflicts on stage convincingly and safely. This is a hybrid course, and classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:35-11:00 AM.

Six sold out audiences enjoyed this year's Shakespeare Summer Stroll: A Midsummer Night's Dream at the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art. This partnership production between Shakespeare Napa Valley, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, and Napa Valley College was brought to life in a reimagined way where fine and performing art lives in dialogue with Shakespeare's words. The cast was comprised of professional guest artists, student performers, and community members.
