Six sold out audiences enjoyed this year's Shakespeare Summer Stroll: A Midsummer Night's Dream at the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art. This partnership production between Shakespeare Napa Valley, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, and Napa Valley College was brought to life in a reimagined way where fine and performing art lives in dialogue with Shakespeare's words. The cast was comprised of professional guest artists, student performers, and community members.

Shakespeare Napa Valley and di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art are thrilled to present Shakespeare Summer Stroll: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a site-integrated performance of William Shakespeare’s whimsical romantic comedy. Performed along di Rosa’s scenic trails and art-filled landscape with a cast comprised of Shakespeare Napa Valley Guest Artists and Napa Valley College students. This immersive production invites audiences to experience a world of fairies, mistaken identities, and enchanted forests—all nestled within the natural beauty of Napa Valley. TICKETS ON SALE NOW! Performances will take place over two weekends:

7/25 – 7/27 and 8/1 – 8/3
Friday and Saturday evening performances, 6 -7 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Napa Valley College, focused on resistance, resilience, and unity, will begin in the Little Theater (1200) building. The day kicks off at 9:00 am with a powerful performance by Aztec dancers, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Cesar Cruz, founder of Homies Empowerment in East Oakland. Napa's Poet Laureate Aisha Rivera will present a spoken word performance, and there will be a welcoming message from college leadership. After the morning keynote address and festivities our NVUSD partners will participate in a small college tour culminating in the quad (in front of the bookstore), where all attendees can enjoy a resource fair, delicious food, music, ballet folklorico, a student art display, student poetry, and a mariachi performance by students. This event offers a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage and honors community spirit.

May is Filled with Music at Napa Valley College! Concerts, Recitals, and a Piano Sale!

Applied Music Recital
May 4th at 3:00pm & May 8th at 7:00pm
Join Napa Valley College music students as they perform their recital pieces. Each recital will include both instrumental and vocal students and will showcase a wide range of musical styles including classical, musical theater, and contemporary popular music. Led by music faculty Dr. George England.

NVC Chorale and the American Canyon High School Chamber Choir will collaborate to present Ralph Vaughan Williams’ stirring oratorio, Dona Nobis Pacem featuring soloists Christina Howell, soprano and William O’Neill, bass along with Festival Napa Valley sponsored conductor, Samantha Burgess.

NVC Jazz Ensemble Concert
May 15th at 8pm
The NVC Jazz Ensemble will present a live performance in the Silvagni Recital Hall on Thursday, May 15th at 8 pm. Led by Peter Estabrook, students and community members will perform music by in a variety of styles within the jazz idiom including swing, funk, and Latin jazz.
