You don't need to be a writer or an artist, just someone who wants to tell true stories. Explore a creative way of writing and art-making!

In “Telling True Stories, a Napa Valley College Community Education course, students will explore an innovative way of writing and art-making that invites them to come together and bear witness to what it really means to be human. All you need is a notebook, a pen, and an open mind and heart. Instructor Rebecca West will help you explore a unique approach to writing that opens the channel to our creative unconscious, inviting participants to say "yes" to whatever comes.

We're excited to announce that Adaptive Physical Education is returning to Napa Valley College this fall — offering inclusive, individualized fitness and movement instruction for individuals with disabilities.

📅 Fall 2026 session: September 21 – December 10
🕘 Choose Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu, at 9:30 or 10:45 a.m.
💵 $85 per course
📍 Building 400, lower floor, NVC Main Campus
👩‍🏫 Taught by Ann Yates, a longtime Napa educator with 15+ years teaching Adapted PE, Dance, and Yoga

Napa Valley College's Fall Community Education classes are open for enrollment!

Join us September 8th for "Judgement Under Pressure: Ethical Decisions When Rules Fail."

About the class: Through real-world decision scenarios, participants will examine and learn how to lead or follow responsibly when every option seems a risk.

Leaders are often forced to make consequential decisions before all the facts are known. This interactive workshop explores how to make sound ethical judgments when rules, incentives, and institutional pressures do not clearly align. Coming soon to the Donna Altes Hospitality Training Center - Master Mondays! This specialized course for wine professionals kicks off August 3rd.

Our first workshop will be Cork Stories: Public Speaking and Prescence for Wine Professionals by Kelley Miller.

Dr. Kelley Miller is a keynote speaker, public speaking coach, and educator. She will lead this class using her signature framework - CORK Stories - designed specifically for the benefit of wine professionals. A veteran of the wine industry herself, Dr. Miller brings first-hand experience to this workshop. The first Wine Wednesday class was a tremendous success, bringing together a full group of enthusiastic attendees for an evening of learning, laughter, and great wine. Guests explored a selection of wines while enjoying an engaging and approachable introduction to the world of wine.

The series continues on July 22 with Southern Hemisphere: 10 Wines Under $25, featuring selections from Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. More than just a tasting, these sessions offer a journey through the world's wine regions, highlighting outstanding value wines and the stories behind them.

The Napa Valley Writers' Conference returns for its 45th year at Napa Valley College!
