This has been such a weird year....but I am finding unexpected blessings to the extra time at home. 💕
Normally, once the end of April hits, we are booked for face painting or henna or airbrush tattoos at festivals and parties, pretty much every weekend until at least September, or later. And the times in between would have been spent recovering from the crazy weekend before and getting supplies and equipment prepared for the upcoming weekend's flurry of activity!
And now, in 2020, all that just stopped!
Instead, I have been filling my time with sewing masks and pursuing my Art in other media. I am learning new things and exploring new skills....it's kind of exciting!
While part of me wishes that I was running crazy getting ready for a busy 4th of July festival weekend, another part is content with painting pretty mermaids and figuring out how to add texture to the waves. 💕🧜♀️💕
I definitely miss my clients and getting the chance to make them smile, from the young ones excited to see their face paint in the mirror, to my cherished henna clients who enjoy the few moments of relaxation as I adorn them. It fills my heart to be able to spread joy! 💕 But I guess, for right now, it's a blessing to have something to do that makes ME smile. And I hope that maybe my creations might bring a smile to you too, until we can be together again.
