Hey River Valley folks! Spread the word! Briarwood is doing prom flowers this year and it’ll be so fun ✨🪩. Ordering is now available on our website for prom corsage bangles, pinned boutonnières, mini bouquets, and DIY buckets.

Colors are florist’s choice but we may be able to accommodate color requests if you put them in the notes. Flowers might be locally grown from other farms in the area; other flowers may come from our international wholesaler since our farm is mostly sprouts in April.

We love our fun, simple, garden-style personal flowers and can’t wait to bring them to your prom experience!

If you want to preorder a bouquet for Homecoming, shoot us a text at 608-588-6554 or email us at [email protected]. $25 each for a petite, glamorous bouquet in farmer’s choice colors (but we MIGHT be able to match your palette if you give us a heads up). Y’all I simply cannot. The glow & joy radiating from this sweet couple’s wedding is so tangible. Love love love x a billion. Such a gift to get to design the flowers for my old friend/roommate’s special day. I’ll post some ceremony photos later because they’re also so gorgeous. Cheers to the happy couple!! (Note: since this was early in the season, much of the floral material came from the wholesaler - who does an amazing job - but we got some stunning local foliage and flowers to accent that from some wonderful growers in the Driftless area!) Happy 4th!! Thankful to live in a country where we’re free to do weird things like add this AMAZING electric cart to our farm (yes it came like that and yes we’re keeping the horns on 😂). And also ever hopeful that we continue fighting for the rights and freedom of everyone here who still experiences oppression. 💙 Look closely at the first pic to see little cow-print goats sleeping on the big cow cart! 😂😂😂

Fun arch from this one of this past weekend’s weddings, for a dear old friend & roommate. Her beautiful, intimate wedding vision was so lovely and we can’t wait to see photos from the big day! But wow designing this arch was one of my favorite things. Loved the moon shape!! Our flowers are just starting to get going but we got to supplement the lovely product from our wholesaler with some of our own flowers and lots of gorgeous local foliage from Blossom & Bee farm. ✨

The beautiful Spring Green wedding we got to flower for yesterday was full of color & used 100% locally grown flowers from , , and a few things from our own farm (our season is having a slow start but so thankful for other amazing flower farmers in the area who grow different things than we do!) 😍😍😍 Loved designing this bridal bouquet so so much! Congrats and thank you to this week’s couple who are newly married!! 🥂

Lush lavender bridal bouquet from this weekend’s wedding! Loooved this fun color palette and getting to select ruffly spring blooms for this pretty bouquet. Humongous shoutout to the wonderful .linnebur for sharing her design skills to make this wedding happen - I had to be unexpectedly out of office at the end of the week and she stepped in to execute the designs we’d been working on for months. Loving our little team so much and psyched to be rolling into the full swing of wedding season 🥰. And always always so into the awesome and creative couples who choose our team to design their joyful celebrations! 🥂

Our Story

Briarwood Flowers would love to fill your wedding day with flowers! We are totally crazy about our couples and believe that your wedding day is so important because it kicks off this wild, lifelong adventure called marriage. At the end of your wedding, if you said the “I do’s” and did the kissing, that’s all that really matters! BUT who doesn’t also love the opportunity to fill a day with gorgeous blooms, amiright? We source from our own field and from local growers whenever we can, and are here to make wedding flowers the easiest part of planning your day!

Briarwood Flowers, LLC was started in 2018 by Delaney Peterson and her amazing husband Brandon. Delaney caught the flower bug during an internship on a flower farm after college in 2013, where she learned about the fun and business of growing specialty cut flowers (and hanging out with farm cats and chickens). When Delaney and Brandon were first dating, they worked weekends together at a local flower farm in Wisconsin and figured out they made a pretty fabulous team. When the two got engaged, they decided to be totally wild and grow the bulk of their own wedding flowers. While the endeavor was a little nuts on top of all the other wedding-planning chaos, the result was a smashing success and propelled them to move forward with their dream of owning their own flower business!

Briarwood Flowers is named after the neighborhood where Delaney and her sister McKenna grew up, a nod to our roots (get it? roots?). These days, Delaney spends most of her time dreaming up whimsical, wild floral designs, chatting with the amazing clients that work with Briarwood Flowers for their weddings and events, starting more flower seeds than we ever have room for, and getting dirt permanently stuck under her fingernails out in the field. Brandon rocks the socks off of figuring out mechanics for cool installations, wrestling rocks out of the tiller when it gets stuck in the flower field, taking care of business operations, and crafting things for the farm and the business with his mad woodworking skills. Custom-built arches, anyone? McKenna, though she currently lives way too many states over, helps keep us on our social media game and spreads the flower love to the West Coast.
