For the Love of Lights

This weekend marks the final event for For the Love of Lights, and we will be officially closed beginning October 31st.

The past six years have been filled with so many wonderful memories, and we will be eternally grateful for you asking us to be a part in your weddings, showers, birthdays, retirements, and events. We thoroughly enjoyed working with families multiple times over as we planned and helped in events for sibling sets. It seemed we left each event with a full heart because of the friendships we made, and sometimes a tray of awesome cupcakes. 😉☺️ We never passed up on taking home cupcakes.

We are also so thankful for the many friendships made along the way with local vendors and creatives. Being able to work with the same folks season after season has been a blessing. We shared our struggles, successes, loved on each other's kids, and built a tight-knit community around us. We know your support carried us many times when we were tired and exhausted. We will be forever grateful for you.

If you ever need a For the Love of Lights fix, just head your way on Old 13 or South 127 in Murphysboro, and look for the glow over the horizon around Christmas time. There you will find Kenny lighting up our house like a blinking beacon and possibly syncing it to Trans Siberian Orchestra.

I know, I know. It's only July. Before we get into the hustle and bustle of the fall wedding season, I wanted to share our new service! Nothing is more disappointing then getting out a fairly new prelit tree, yard ornament, or light strands to only have a section of the lights out. Contact us before you throw it out! We may be able to repair itand bring it back to life.

We are also taking on a small number of clients for Christmas light decorating. If you have or know a local business interested in having their storefront decorated with Christmas lights, please give us a call.

Last month, we collaborated with The Pines Weddings and Events to stage lighting and table centerpieces. We were ecstatic to string lights over their intimate ceremony space and to use our brass candlesticks to create a simple and elegant look. They graciously took pictures and shared them with us. The florals were generously provided by Apple Blossom Flowers & Gifts, LLC in Murphysboro, IL, and added the perfect touch to our cake buffet and arbor. Anything you see in these pictures is available to rent for your big day!

We are so thankful for the opportunity to work at Busch Stadium for the Jokisch-Mason wedding this past weekend.

The hospitality gifted us by the crew at the stadium was really second to none. We always had a smiling face and a helping hand throughout our setup and tear down process. The Cardinals organization was accommodating and phenomenal.

The amazing florals were done by Apple Blossom Flowers & Gifts, LLC. They brought the small town Murphy pride to Cardinal's Nation and nailed it! We received so many compliments on how amazing the room looked from the staff and crew.

We are so thankful to be a part of the small business scene in Murphysboro. The relationships built and memories made are some we will never forget!
