When can I get back over after passing someone??? We always say 3 car lengths, but what does that actually look like?? Well, here is a trick for you! When passing a vehicle, wait for the entire front of the car you passed to show in your rear view mirror. When you switch back over, this should put you generally 3 car lengths from the vehicle behind you. Hopefully, this will make driving more delightful! Stay safe out there!

Ok...let me set the scene for you.

You wake up at 3:30am. It's time to get ready to head out for a very needed and long vacation. You're excited, but you still have one thing left before you can start the fun; getting there. You booked a black car service the week before, and they have confirmed. But, will they show? Will they sleep too late? What is the backup plan? He's supposed to arrive at 4am. 3:40, you get your bags ready and wait for your driver. Your excited for the trip, but worried about the travel. Will TSA take long? 3:50, you see headlights approaching your house. "Oh, please be the driver!", you say. It's hard to make out the vehicle, given it being dark. But soon enough, you see it! It's the driver! Right on time, as you expected! You take a sigh of relief knowing that it's going to be ok, and that this may be the best vacation of your life!

Dang! How long is this red light???

Well, there is actually a way to know how long. At many intersections, there are digital cross walk signs that count down to let pedestrians know when their time to cross is up. Many times, when the timer hits 0, the light will change! If the crosswalk sign doesn't have the timer, you can anticipate a light change when the don't cross signal begins flashing.

There you go! A Ride Guy trick! Now, you no longer have to mindlessly wait at a light not knowing when the stupid thing will change!
