Today I’m sharing a little of the heart behind CC’S CHARCUTERIE CREATIONS LLC... the people, memories, and moments that mean the most to me beyond the boards. ❤️

And this one feels especially fitting to share today because it’s Marshall’s 7th birthday. 🥹❤️

There are days when I look at Marshall and wonder how he is growing so quickly right in front of me.

One minute, he is standing beside me in the kitchen, helping me create a special family board and learning how all the little pieces come together... and the next, I’m looking at the finished creation with his name across it and realizing these are the moments I never want to forget. ❤️

CC’S CHARCUTERIE CREATIONS may be my business, but some of my sweetest memories have been made with my little helper right beside me.

He has watched me build boards, asked questions, helped choose ingredients for his own creations, and proudly learned how cheese, fruit, crackers, and all the little details come together. Seeing how excited he is when his board is finished makes my heart so happy.

Of course, our family boards aren’t always perfect. Sometimes a few ingredients get taste-tested along the way 😂... but honestly, that is part of what makes these moments so special.

I know there will come a time when he won’t be this little anymore. He may not always want to stand beside me in the kitchen or think helping Mom create a charcuterie board is the best way to spend an afternoon.

So for now, I’m soaking it all in... the little hands, the proud smiles, the questions, the laughter, and the memories we are creating together.

Because long after the food is gone, these are the moments I’ll still carry with me. ❤️

And today, on his 7th birthday, I’m feeling that a little extra. I’m so thankful for every year, every memory, every laugh, and every ordinary little moment I get with him.

Happy 7th birthday to my favorite little helper... and quite possibly the future of CC’S CHARCUTERIE CREATIONS. 🧀🍇🥰

🍂 Is anyone else starting to get excited for fall gatherings? 🍁🧀

There’s just something about this time of year... cooler weather, cozy get-togethers, football weekends, family coming into town, and eventually those holiday tables filled with all the people we love. ❤️

And this board will forever give me all the fall feelings. 🍂

The warm colors, fresh fruit, cheeses, savory meats, little pumpkins, rosemary, and all those beautiful seasonal details make this exactly the kind of spread I love creating for fall entertaining.

But one of my favorite things about this particular board isn't something you can necessarily see in the picture.

This customer was serving family members who couldn't eat gluten, so alongside their board I provided gluten-free crackers separately and took extra care to prevent cross-contact with the traditional crackers on the board.

Afterward, they shared this with me:

"The food was beautifully and creatively arranged and included plenty of variety. Everything was delicious!" ❤️

They also specifically mentioned appreciating the care taken with their gluten-free family members, and that meant so much to me.

Because creating something beautiful is important to me... but taking care of the people who will actually be gathered around it matters even more. 🤍

Fall calendars have a way of filling up quickly, and now is a wonderful time to start thinking about your upcoming gatherings—football parties, fall birthdays, showers, Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, client appreciation, or simply having family and friends around the table.

✨ Local Love Friday ✨

This week I want to give a huge shoutout to Sara Beth Photography and Videography. ❤️

My son and I recently had the opportunity to be part of a project she was working on, and I honestly had no idea how much I would end up loving the final photos.

Sara Beth has such a gift for capturing people in a way that feels natural, genuine, and completely you. She caught the sweet moments between my son and me, his personality in the individual shots, and somehow even managed to give me photos of myself that I genuinely love...which is no small accomplishment. 😂❤️

What stood out to me most was that nothing felt overly posed or forced. The pictures feel warm, real, and full of personality, and those are exactly the kinds of photos that become keepsakes.

If you’re looking for someone to capture your family, Christmas photos, a wedding, an event, or any other season or milestone you don’t want to forget, I highly recommend checking her out.

Supporting other local small businesses is something I really believe in, and when someone does beautiful work, I’m always happy to tell people about it.

✨ I’ve been working through Faithfully Flourishing by Ginger Steg, and one of the lessons this week really made me think about how God has worked in my own business journey.

Lately, He’s been reminding me that I don’t have to have everything figured out before I take the next step.

When I first started taking this business seriously, I knew I could create charcuterie. That part came naturally to me.

The business side? Not so much. 😂

I would look at people who were already successful and immediately fall into the comparison trap.

I’ll never be as good as them.

Maybe I’m not really cut out for this.

There were definitely moments of imposter syndrome when I wondered if this was something I was actually supposed to pursue at all.

But something began to change when I stopped trying to figure out the entire road ahead and started placing this business in God’s hands.

I began praying about it differently.

Instead of asking God to show me how everything was going to work out, I started asking Him to simply show me the next step.

And He has.

One step at a time.

It reminds me of something I love to say: How do you eat an elephant?

One bite at a time. 😂

We see where someone is today and forget that most people didn’t wake up there one morning. There were hundreds of small decisions, uncomfortable steps, lessons, mistakes, prayers, and moments of obedience along the way.

That's been one of the biggest lessons God has taught me through CC’S CHARCUTERIE CREATIONS.

When He puts something on my heart and I’m obedient with that step, another one seems to come.

And sometimes I KNOW those ideas aren’t coming from me, because they're things I never would have thought of before I started intentionally praying over this business and laying it at His feet.

But there's another battle I’ve had to fight along the way:

perfectionism.

That voice that says:

What if I mess this up?

What if I could have done more?

What if it isn’t good enough yet?

And if I listen to it long enough, I can second-guess something God already gave me the courage to begin.

I’m learning there's a difference between wanting to do something well and believing it has to be flawless before it has value.

God absolutely calls us to give our best.

But He never asked us to become perfect before He could use us.

Joshua 22:5 reminds us to love God, walk in obedience to Him, hold tightly to Him, and serve Him wholeheartedly.

That's the kind of excellence I want.

Not perfection driven by fear.

Faithfulness driven by obedience.

I can prepare well. I can work hard. I can care deeply about what I create. And then I can release it instead of endlessly picking it apart because I’m afraid it isn’t enough.

Because this business was never supposed to depend entirely on me anyway.

God has taken steps that felt small to me and used them to open doors I never could have planned for myself.

So I’m learning to stop asking, “Can I do this perfectly?”

And instead ask,

“God, what are You asking me to do next?”

Then take that step.

And trust Him with what comes after it. ❤️

My prayer today:

Lord, when comparison makes us question what You’ve placed inside of us, bring our focus back to You. When perfectionism makes us afraid to move, remind us that You're not asking us to see the entire journey before we obey. Give us wisdom for the next step, courage to take it, and peace to leave the results in Your hands. Help us work with excellence without turning our work into an idol, and keep our hearts close enough to You that we recognize Your direction when You give it. May everything we build, create, and offer be done with love, humility, and a desire to honor You.

In Jesus name, Amen. ❤️
