Happy May Day! These alliums are the only current blooms right now, as these colder temps hold off the spring flowers. But as this quote tells us, there is much to expect and hope for in this coming month 😊 🌺

Annuals have started to bloom! In spring, we see bulbs blooming, and then some perennials (the plants that come back every year). Annuals are last. I started this flower from seed in late January. Many more blooms will start to appear now. And just keep in mind, this day last year, the first tulips were blooming. We are a couple of weeks ahead compared to last year!

Here they are again! Because of the astronaut Andre Kuipers, tulips were the first flowers to ever bloom in space. That seems like a feat worthy of having a tulip variety named after you! Seriously loving these 💕 florist

Say hello to Astronaut Andre Kuipers 🧑‍🚀 — our first to open her petals this spring. Named after a Dutch astronaut, this tulip is truly out of this world. Why did he get a tulip named after him? Because he successfully grew and photographed the first tulips aboard the International Space Station 😍 💕 With tones of orange, apricot and rose, this full and ruffly peony tulip will take you to the moon and back 🌷🚀
