This was such a blessing to be a part of. I, Toni Feehan, had no clue what I was getting involved with but plans are already started for next year!! This was absolutely amazing, so heart touching, hard to describe, just so impressed with all the volunteers I seen!!!

Alyssa Scheffler and her team at Holiday Hearts of Ionia County are spending their holiday week making sure more than 500 area families have gifts under the tree.

What started as my vision as a mom wanting to bring Christmas to other moms, dads, grandparents, and guardians has grown into something far greater than I ever imagined.

Thank you to each and every one of our donation sites, businesses, community members, family adopters, sponsors, and supporters near and far—whether you donated spare change or a gift, no contribution was too small. A heartfelt thank-you to our Amazon donors for contributing over 200 gifts, and to our donators for raising more than $4,500. This was truly an entire community effort.

Together, we helped nearly 1,100 children, brought Christmas to over 400 homes in Ionia County, and placed more than 5,100 gifts under the tree this year. That is something to be incredibly proud of!

A special thank-you to Amy Herbruck and Cassondra Bennett for your support from start to finish, and to Log Cabin Inn Banquet Center—our event host—and the owner of our workshop, Darin Elliot, for opening your doors and your heart. To the many businesses all throughout Ionia County and surrounding areas - without all of you this would not have been possible!

To the recipient’s of our mission- while we may have had some hiccups and challenges, you all were so incredibly grateful and patient with us. Thank you for trusting us and for being part of this!

To my husband Christopher Scheffler and children - we started this together and you have all contributed to make this come to life!!! From extra time spent at the shop counting and sorting, doing box runs and pickups and drop offs, to setting up boxes, to sacrificing our time to make so many others have Christmas! Without your support I could not have done this!!!

To all of our volunteers - THANK YOU!!!! Without you these past few days would not have been possible!!! You are all absolutely incredible!! Thank you!!!

Lastly, but certainly not least, to my committee—you came together, grew, and helped turn my vision into reality in just 10 short weeks. None of this would have been possible without you.
This has been an incredible experience to be part of. I have learned so much and accomplished things I never could have imagined—all because of you. My heart is truly overflowing this season. ❤️
