The White Violet is a NJ floral design studio specializing in professionally designed faux floral arrangements created using high quality, realistic botanicals. Hi I'm Sue, the artist behind The White Violet, a boutique floral business specializing in one of a kind, hand crafted, faux flower arrangements. Launched in 2018, The White Violet has given me the opportunity to turn my lifelong passion for flowers, nature, and whimsy into something real that others can enjoy. I design for both individual and corporate clients, from small desktop sized arrangements to large pieces for lobbies and storefronts. I also teach hands on floral workshops where participants can learn how to design their own floral arrangements that they can then take home. As an experienced floral artist, having both trained and worked in floral design, my goal is to create floral decor that is both beautiful and long lasting. By using high quality faux, preserved and sola wood materials, I am able to create floral decor pieces that meet these goals and more. Every floral stem utilized in my designs are hand selected for their quality, uniqueness and visual interest. When choosing materials to work with I not only consider quality and aesthetic appeal, but also whether or not the material is eco-friendly and sustainable. My goal is to incorporate sustainable, VOC and toxin free, vintage and/or recycled components, in some form, into each of my designs and/or packaging, as I believe it is important to create mindfully. Before I skip on over to Christmas I wanted to make a few more fall pieces because fall is still here through November, and poor Thanksgiving - she’s always forgotten about! And instead of filling this beautiful ceramic pumpkin vessel with the traditional fall colors I colored outside of the lines and went with a garden style floral display instead!

Looking for an easy way to spruce up your front porch this season? Hit your backyard! Or a friends!!

Look for the beautiful cone shaped Limelight Hydrangeas that have begun to dry. They will feel papery to the touch and will be pinkish/brown with a little green left. Cut the stem a decent length - 3-4’ if you want to sink into a planter. You don’t need to worry about bugs etc if you’re using outside. Just strip the leaves off the stem after you cut them off the bush. I’d recommend gloves so that you don’t catch your hand on sharp edges, plus some people have a skin reaction to the Paniculata family of hydrangea, which is what the Limelight’s belong to.

The dried hydrangeas look great in baskets, pots (just push down into the dirt to secure), tucked between pumpkins (again in a pot of dirt) or tucked into some cornstalks you might be using around your door. Happy foraging!

Late night studio work & an overcast morning gave me just the right light to capture how this moody autumn arrangement feels.

Photographing faux florals always feels like a challenge, and it takes patience and practice to get it right. I try to capture what an arrangement actually looks like in a real life setting, so that you know exactly what you’ll receive when you order faux florals from my studio. No AI here, just me and my camera. Which sometimes works out better than other times lol.

Dreaming of a Ralph Lauren inspired Thanksgiving Day table? 🍂

The secret to this look is layers, rich colors, and a collected over time feeling. Think warm wood, woven textures, patterned linens, traditional china, cut crystal, candles, and lots of earthy autumn tones like rust, gold, olive green, burgundy, and of course, to***co brown.

Don’t make it perfect or make everything match. This style works when things feel collected rather than perfectly coordinated.

And for your centerpiece, I’d carry over the same colors and textures over into the flowers. Flowers, fruits, berries, and foliage, a little wild and not perfect, as you want a natural, organic look.

This large fall cornucopia was designed with exactly this kind of look in mind. At nearly 24” long it makes a statement without towering over the table. And all the warm autumn tones work beautifully with this layered holiday look.

Nothing says fall & beautiful Thanksgiving tables better than a lush cornucopia, overflowing with flowers, fruit, and foliage. A true classic!

Here’s what went into this gorgeous centerpiece:

📌 1 - 21” natural vine cornucopia
📌 1 - 30” artificial sunflower berry spray
📌 1 - 12” pomegranate pick
📌 1 - 16” pomegranate spray
📌 Sedum, peonies, & asparagus fern
📌 1 block of dry floral foam
📌 Spanish moss to cover mechanics

Each of my materials was hand selected for its color, texture, and how I saw this piece in my mind. I wanted something that would be substantial on a dining table or a sideboard, or somewhere where it would be displayed for the season. Flowers and foliage spill out, creating an elegant mood for a holiday table.

I’m only creating one of these large centerpieces this year, and it will be in my ETSY shop later today.

Christmas Decor Trends 2026 - Candy Christmas

This year pastels and traditional gingerbread themed decor dominate the Candy Christmas theme. Lollipops, oversized candies, gingerbread cookie style picks and all things “sweet” were on display at one of my favorite wholesalers. Both styles look absolutely magical on a Christmas tree, and the light touches of glitter and snow really add that extra (perfect) touch!

I think I’ve decided that fall is my favorite season. 🍂🍁

Always excited to create pieces for my fall collection which will be available in my ETSY shop soon. I’m also currently booking custom orders for fall items, with delivery dates approximately 3-4 weeks out. If you’re interested in having something made just for you don’t hesitate to reach out, the sooner the better, to help guarantee availability of fall (or winter) stems. The early bird definitely gets the worm! 😉
