Our Stool~
For three decades, the stool stood steadfast—a humble hero in the realm of school photography. Its metal legs once gleamed with youthful vigor, and its wooden seat bore the sheen of decades past, polished by the shifting weight of countless children perched upon it. It wasn’t just a stool; it was a keeper of memories, a silent witness to fleeting moments, frozen forever in photographs.
Generations passed before its sturdy frame. Little toddlers with cherubic cheeks, nervous middle-schoolers with awkward smiles, and confident seniors with bright eyes—all found themselves perched on this stool as flashes immortalized their likeness. It heard giggles of friends, whispers of secret crushes, and the quiet pride of parents standing behind the camera. Through it all, the stool bore the weight—not just physical but of emotions, lives, and histories.
Its role was simple yet profound. Over the years, the once-pristine wood became scarred by scratches, etched by time and the stories it carried. The metal legs, though steady, began to wobble like an elder yearning for rest. The stool remained loyal to its purpose, even as it grew weary.
And now, after thirty years of service, its journey has ended. It served until it could serve no more. You stood there, looking at the stool with a mix of emotions—a pang of sorrow for its departure and a swell of gratitude for all it had given. This was the stool that bore the “little honeys,” the one that stood proudly as dreams were captured and milestones preserved.
Though gone, its legacy lives on in countless albums, yearbooks, and cherished frames. The stool has retired, but its spirit remains—in the memories of those who once sat on it, and in your heart, where it will always hold a special place.
