Coffee With Oscar ☕🦉

Oscar always says the best things in life don’t need to be rushed.

Frozen whipped coffee clouds.
Fresh espresso.
A touch of cold foam.

As the coffee slowly melts into the espresso, each sip becomes a little different from the last—richer, smoother, and perfectly balanced.

Just like Sinatra said…

“Nice and easy does it.”

The Summer Dinner Collection

Description

There’s something about a summer evening that calls for a little extra intention.

Whether it’s dinner by the water, cocktails on a patio, or an evening stroll through town, the right color combination creates a look that feels effortless and refined.

In this collection:

▪️ Navy & White — timeless and confident
▪️ Brown & Camel — rich and sophisticated
▪️ Bordeaux & White — bold yet elegant
▪️ Baby Blue & White — fresh and understated

Style isn’t about wearing more. It’s about wearing the right pieces, the right colors, and wearing them well.

Being true to yourself never goes out of style.

The best meals start with simple ingredients. 🌿

Fresh basil, pistachios, garlic, Parmesan, lemon, and rigatoni—blended into a vibrant pistachio pesto that’s rich, bright, and full of flavor.

Part of my pasta series, where every bowl begins with quality ingredients and a little creativity.

A Week at Scalici Collective

This week was a reminder of what Scalici Collective is all about: slowing down, appreciating craftsmanship, and finding beauty in the everyday.

From seasonal Italian-inspired cooking to conversations about timeless style and moments of quiet reflection, we explored what it means to live well with intention.

Highlights from this week:

• Introduced The Pasta Series, celebrating fresh ingredients, simple techniques, and the traditions that make Italian cooking so enduring.

• Shared our Zucchini Lemon Ricotta Pasta, a dish that proved incredible flavor doesn’t require complicated recipes.

• Explored the art of brûléed ice cream affogato, blending classic Italian coffee culture with a little creativity.

• Discussed the importance of timeless wardrobe essentials, focusing on quality pieces that never go out of style.

• Took a step back at Cafe 1903 to embrace dolce far niente—the sweetness of doing nothing—with espresso, reading, and reflection in a space filled with old-world charm.

Thank you to everyone who followed along, commented, shared ideas, and joined the conversation.

The journey continues next week with more recipes, more inspiration, and more ways to explore the art of living well.

“Dolce Far Niente” — the sweetness of doing nothing.

Not every moment needs to be productive.

This morning at Cafe 1903 in Collingswood, I slowed down with an espresso, a pastry, and a few quiet moments to read and reflect.

The café carries an old-world Italian charm that feels increasingly rare—warm, refined, and unhurried.

In a culture that celebrates constant motion, there’s something valuable about sitting still for a moment. Thinking. Observing. Appreciating.

Sometimes growth isn’t found in doing more.

Sometimes it’s found in creating space for what matters most.
