On a typical Saturday morning after breakfast and coffee, I unwillingly ventured out with my husband to an auction for farm equipment. Once we arrived at the auction, unknown to me, my husband’s interest quickly changed from the farm equipment to the land being auctioned. At the same time, I was looking around and becoming mesmerized by the natural beauty of this hidden Tennessee treasure. While the auctioneer was doing his chant, I slipped away to walk close to the creek to calm my anticipation of finding out who would be the highest bidder. Talking with another lady about the charm and peacefulness of this secluded acreage the chant came to a stop. Her comment to me was “looks like the tall guy with the glasses is the new owner.” Knowing that my husband doesn’t wear glasses I felt relieved with a bit of disappointment at the same time. Looking up toward the sale I noticed it was a tall guy, but with sunglasses. We love the idea of sharing this beautiful location and giving you the freedom to create and enjoy your own special day. Our handsome groom, beautiful bride, and their adorable little guy were out on the farm today burying the bourbon! 🌾 It’s a fun Southern wedding tradition believed to help keep the rain away on wedding day!☀️And once the big day arrives, they’ll dig it back up and enjoy it at the reception!

With just ONE MONTH until “I do,” we’re crossing our fingers for sunshine, blue skies, and the perfect wedding day for this sweet family! 💍🤎

Our 12 amazing veterans have enjoyed a beautiful weekend at Rural Hill Farm, learning their smokers, sharing stories, and enjoying some good barbecue together. ❤️
