Today we celebrate 127 years of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. 🇺🇸

Founded on September 29, 1899, the VFW was built around a simple but enduring commitment: to foster camaraderie among veterans, serve our veterans and military, support our communities, and advocate on behalf of all veterans.

For 127 years, VFW members have stood together to ensure veterans are respected for their service, receive the benefits they have earned, and are recognized for the sacrifices made by them and their families.

From its beginnings at the turn of the 20th century to its continued service today, the VFW remains rooted in the same purpose: serving those who served.

Here’s to 127 years of service, advocacy, camaraderie, and commitment — and to the generations of veterans who have carried that mission forward.

Happy Birthday, VFW! 🇺🇸
