District #1 Old Schoolhouse The restored 1889 District #1 Schoolhouse is a gathering place for the Mount Horeb community. The schoolhouse is available to groups for events and meetings.

Time for a Pie Auction Update!
What beautiful evening for a pie auction!
There was amazing music from the Community Band that played for an hour and a half! So many fun toe tapping songs that the audience loved!
Delicious pulled pork sandwiches and ice cream with brownies!
Our fabulous auctioneer Jim Schmidt, who has been with us for every auction for the last 17 years, kept us all in stitches with his humor and fun energy! Our twelve bakers made twenty-one pies for Jim to auction off!
The auction raised $2,695 on pies alone and the pies averaged $128. per pie. The Small Batch Baker's Tart Cherry Crumble went for the highest price of the night at $260.
Thank you to Jim Schmidt, all the bakers, the band members, the volunteers that help put on the event and all the people that joined us to help make the auction a great success! We appreciate all of you and your support for the District #1 Schoolhouse!

What beautiful evening for a pie auction!

Join us next week, Thursday, August 6, for our annual Pie Auction!! There are amazing bakers providing a variety of 20 different pies. The Community Band will be playing and we will have pulled pork sandwiches, chips, drinks ice cream and brownies for sale!

🏫 It feels like summer just started, but it is Back-to-School season at Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Mount Horeb. We want every student to start the school year prepped for success!

🎒 We're providing School Supply Packs (including backpacks and socks/underwear) for children grades 4K through college living in the Mount Horeb School District and nearby rural areas.
