I am Reverend Tricia Stehle, and I am a metro Detroit area wedding officiant. I am also licensed to officiate weddings in Ohio. I was a Harrison Twp. resident (thus, how Boat Town Weddings was born before moving to Mount Clemens. 7 years ago today , while driving into work , I got a text from a fellow wedding officiant friend of mine . She said ‘Tricia - don’t you have that commitment ceremony tonight ?’ ‘Yes ‘ I replied. She then said ‘have you not seen the news this morning ?’ ‘No’ - my reply .
I quickly parked , did an even quicker google search , and went : ‘omg !!!!- I am about to officiate (unexpectedly), one of the first legal same s*x Michigan weddings and it wasn’t even planned that way ‘!
Not a dry eye in the house that night , and truly - one of the most unforgettable days of my ( and I am sure - their )- life /lives.

Happy 7th Jen and Emily !!!! Somehow , after these troubling recent events , this one means even more .
