Catered By Design's mission is to bring your events to life with sumptuous food and refreshing beverages presented in spectacular fashion. This also includes being a good steward of the environment. Our goal is to continually improve our sustainability practices by working closely with our vendors and partners to minimize the impact on the environment. Sam Gray, the President of Catered by design,

started in his grandmother's kitchen as just a young kid, working up into Executive Chef positions at multiple restaurants and opening a few of his own, Sam has a lifetime of experience under his belt. Deciding to settle down over 17 years ago and began his journey with Catered by Design, he has built a loyal team to create and serve thousands of food & event seeking clients in Chicago and the greater area.

🥂 This classic cocktail elevates the gin and tonic with lemon, champagne, and simple syrup in a refreshing new way. Served in a champagne flute with a lemon twist garnish, the Intercontinental 75 pairs perfectly with our Oven Roasted Salmon Fillet or Grilled Salmon Fillet. This signature drink is often served at weddings, but is a great choice for any formal or evening event!

🥂 The Day Drinker from is essentially a Cape Codder with an upgrade of ginger ale, served with a lime rind garnish. Tart and bubbly, it pairs well with our Blueberry & Goat Cheese Crostini and Walnut Chicken Salad Bite hors d’Oeuvres and our vegetarian Cheese Ravioli entrée. A Day Drinker is a nice offering for daytime weddings and parties, brunches, and family gatherings!

🥂 What a splendid time we had helping bring the Annual Fundraising Gala to life! The night was a beautiful celebration of the United Kingdom. From Fish and Chips to Ploughman’s Salad amongst many other UK inspired dishes, we hope each guest enjoyed the menu! What a beautiful way to celebrate a collective of cultures that make up the United Kingdom! 🇬🇧
