Before I get into anymore about the Santa Season, I must first thank my loving and understanding wife and family for allowing me to
do this each year. With me doing Santa leaves
Pretty much everything else to do with Christmas to her. Thanks to my daughters for
picking up my slack! I know how I feel and know she probably feels about the same. Anyway, thanks Babe! Love you so very much!
Well, with the exception of one after the season visit as a special favor on the afternoon of the 27th, this Santa Season is a wrap. I managed to stay somewhat healthy living on EmergenC and Zinc tablets. The voice is giving out a bit after a few long days back to back.
This year was comprised of a total of 68 individual classrooms, corporate parties, non profit organizations, Fire Departments, National Guard Units, bookstores, photo shoots, breakfasts and donuts with Santa and multiple home visits. Best I can figure, I saw somewhere around 1650 kids and many others in stores, malls, sidewalks and parking lots. As I have explained, this year has seen some of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Santa’s
heart has swelled multiple times hearing children ask for something for others instead of themselves and humbled by kids asking for basic shoes, clothing and things most of us take
for granted. And to the one little guy just asking for someone to hug him, I hope Santa’s wasnt the only one you received.
To all you you that booked Santa appearance this year, Thank You! All of your donations will be put to good use. I’ll post a follow up soon on where all the donations land. Hope to see you all again next year
And with droopy eyes, sore back and knees
and a full heart, Merry Christmas to
All and To All a Good Night
