🎭 From Mountaineer to Mentor — Welcome Home, Cody LeRoy Wilson! 💛💙

Today, WVU Theatre & Dance had the pleasure of welcoming Cody LeRoy Wilson (BFA Acting, Class of 2014) back to his alma mater! Cody spent an incredible hour and a half with our students sharing stories, career insight, words of wisdom, and encouragement as they continue developing their own paths as artists.

A very special thank you to Cody for taking the time to return home, pour into our students, answer their questions, and remind them of all that is possible beyond their time at WVU. We are so grateful to have alumni who continue to give back to the next generation of Mountaineer artists. 💛💙

Now it’s our turn to show up and support Cody as he takes the stage in his one-man show, Did My Grandfather Kill My Grandfather? 🎭

The cast of POTUS officially kicked off their first rehearsal of the semester last night, and we’re ready to get to work!

When one four-letter word turns a presidential PR nightmare into a global crisis, seven brilliant and beleaguered women are left to keep the commander-in-chief—and the country—from completely falling apart. What could possibly go wrong? 👀

Written by Selina Fillinger and directed by Cathy O’Dell, POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Du***ss Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive hits the Gladys G. Davis Theatre this fall!

Today we mourn the loss of our friend and colleague, Dr. Jay Malarcher. Jay will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, generosity, and the lasting impact he made as a colleague, mentor, and friend. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Arrangements are still being made.
