It's a funny thing when you host weddings and suddenly two of your own “kids” will be married this summer! The first is in June, the second is in August. The June wedding is outdoors at a farm setting and August is evening formal Being vulnerable here… help me decide if these dresses are “too much” or not enough. 😅

We have been hard at work all winter getting The Tavern ready for spring! It still needs a pergola for the deck and some shelves to be installed, but I think it looks pretty good! Not only is it a great pre-ceremony spot for the groom, but also perfect for continuing the festivities afterwards!

Do you know about the Southern tradition where couples bury an unopened bottle of bourbon upside down at their wedding venue exactly one month to the day and time of their wedding to ensure good weather, specifically warding off rain for a sunny ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bottle is dug up and shared for a celebratory toast with their wedding party and family. It sure worked for us!
