Last night we lost a legend: Dolly Parton.

For the past two Januarys, we’ve celebrated her birthday with a Dolly Parton theme ride, wigs, rhinestones, and all. It was already tradition. Now it will be a tribute, too.

Dolly gave us seven decades of music, laughter, and a kind of steady, generous spirit that never ran dry. Hard beginnings turned into a message she lived out loud: work hard, stay humble, lift others up, and don’t take yourself too seriously while you’re doing it.

So we’re asking: WWDD? What Would Dolly Do?

Probably tell us to keep the party going, hug our people a little tighter, and show up for each other. So that’s what we’ll do, every January, on that trolley named after her.

Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the songbook and the blueprint.

Everywhere else, groups are doing this on foot. Bar to bar, 90 degrees, splitting Ubers.

💡 We have a better idea. Do the whole thing on a wine trolley. Music up, nobody drives, and the photos will be epic.

The best “research” you will do all year.

On Friday, August 28, we are hosting a small group of corporate event planners and executive assistants for three hours through four Léal Hospitality venues, aboard both of our trolleys.

Here is the part of your job nobody warns you about. You are expected to find somewhere new. Somewhere the team has not already been three times. Somewhere that does not feel like a conference room with a slightly better view. And you are expected to find it between everything else you do.

So come find it. On the clock.

You will see all four venues in person, ride the vintage open-air red trolley and the enclosed El Toro Trolley, meet the people who would actually run your event, and go home with a swag bag and something worth opening.

We can only take as many people as the trolleys hold. When they are full, they are full.

The history of Morgan Hill, told from a trolley seat. 🚎

Just in time to celebrate 120 years of the city of Morgan Hill, we are launching a new tour in September.

This 70-minute Morgan Hill History Trolley Tour will depart from the historic Hiram Morgan Hill House, with a docent from the Morgan Hill Historical Society along for the ride. From the valley’s first Indigenous peoples through the Rancho era to today, you’ll hear many stories of our history in one comfortable seat.

No wine, no singing. Just history and beautiful scenery.
