It’s hard to put into words what you mean to me, especially after the kind of year we’ve had. Life has thrown some heavy things our way, and we’ve had to navigate a lot of change, heartbreak, and responsibilities that neither of us could have fully prepared for. But if there’s one thing this year has reminded me of, it’s just how lucky I am to have you by my side.
You’re one of the most loyal, hardworking, and selfless people I know. You have a way of putting the people you love before yourself, making sacrifices without asking for recognition, and doing whatever it takes to make sure the people around you are okay. Sometimes I wonder if you even realize how much you give of yourself to the people you love.
And I hope you know that I see it. I see the sacrifices you make for me, the support you give me, and all the ways you’ve helped me become the person I am today.
Today is your day tho, and I hope you feel even a fraction of the love and appreciation you deserve. Thank you for being you, for believing in me, for standing beside me, and for all the things you do that may go unrecognized but never go unnoticed by me.
More than 20 years later, I’m still learning new reasons to appreciate you. And if I know one thing, it’s that I wouldn’t want to build this life with anybody else.
