In the Zest household we make Pan de Mu**to (bread of the dead) every year to celebrate Día de los Mu**tos (Day of the Dead), which is a multi-day Mexican and Latin American celebration that honors and remembers deceased loved ones, with the central belief that their spirits return to be with the living.
The holiday is a joyous and celebratory time, not a somber one, and includes building altars called ofrendas with offerings like food and marigolds, as well as visiting cemeteries to decorate graves.
Feliz Dia de los Mu**tos - today (and every day) let us take an extra moment to remember and honor all our loved ones who have since passed away 🇲🇽
