Behind every wrestler is a wrestling mom, part chauffeur, part cheerleader, part mat-side coach, part laundry expert, and full-time supporter.

A wrestling mom is like a regular mom… just tougher, louder, more dedicated, and a whole lot cooler.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms who help make the Mora Wrestling family what it is 💙💐

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own, Benji Nordstrom.

Benji was a valued member of our team, a teammate, a friend, and someone who left a lasting impact on this program. He brought his own energy to the room, his own personality to the team, and his great big smile, often paired with his signature two thumbs up, that so many will always remember. He is deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Benji was the definition of a true teammate and that is something that will never be forgotten.

We are thinking of Benji’s family, friends, and teammates during this incredibly difficult time.

A well-deserved honor for a coach who helped build the foundation of Mora Wrestling.
Congratulations to Coach Youngblom on being selected to the Hall of Fame. Thank you for the legacy you’ve left on this program and community.

When Mora Schools handed the reins of its wrestling program to Tom Youngblom in 1997, it appeared as another line item in the district’s yearly staffing shuffle. Twenty-seven years and

State Tournament Update

Natalie Olson and Kylee Nelson’s state tournament runs have come to an end. Both competed hard on the biggest stage, and we are proud of the way they represented Mora and our program.

After a tough loss this morning, Taby Lee battled back in the wrestle backs this evening, fighting her way through a round to keep her tournament alive. She will compete tomorrow morning in the first session in the third round of wrestle backs.

We are proud of all three athletes and the way they continue to represent Mora Girls Wrestling.

Let’s keep cheering Taby on tomorrow — Mora is behind you.

Day 2 at the State Tournament.

Yesterday these three stepped onto the biggest stage in Minnesota wrestling for the first time. Today, they come back ready to battle again.

Before the tournament even began, one of our captains made these incredible boards; every photo a reminder of the work, the growth, and the journey that got them here. That’s leadership. That’s team.

State qualifiers. Competitors. Teammates who show up for each other.

No one gets here alone. And no one competes alone.
