Along with Mike Chan, I was in Walnut this week to photograph some cooking utensils for Crofton. a division Columbian Home. The customer wants to show some of the products “in stiu” which is fancy photo talk for in situation. Which means show the product in use.
The packaging is already sized, so we need to fit the product(s) within a defined area. So, to start off the products, which are also referred to as ‘heroes’ which is fancy photo talk for products that are perfect, without and blemishes, need to be arranged to fit within the space of 6 3/8”H x 3 1/8”W.
The package fits into a cardboard display and the display has a two inch lip that holds the boxes in place. The boxes are displayed with the side facing out, so more products can fit in the display.

The first image is of my setup, a 4’x8’ sheet of gloss white laminate, with lighting and the products.
