It is also a huge honor that the images we took together are featured in this article 🤍
Love you - you’re amazing 🤍
Since “family session season” is right around the corner, I wanted to share just a few. I wish I could share them all 🤍 I love all of my families so much.
Sharing this beautiful bride from a while back because I just love it so much. I love the sweetness of this. The calmness before she walks down the aisle. I often try to think of words that I want my images to portray. Classy, elegant, timeless, emotion-filled, genuine, artful are just a few that come to mind.
What’s more important to me is encouraging a calming environment for my couples and not adding stress to their already chaotic day. I feel strongly that if I create a calming space, their images will reflect that.
It’s important to me to make that their experience from the moment they inquire with me - all the way until I deliver their gallery. This goes for my couples, families, everyone.
Kindness. Comfort. Joy.
PS. I feel like writing captions out is always my battle with posting on social media until I just start rambling. So thanks for listening 🤍
Hello all! Are you a small business owner, or know someone that is?
I would love to share my heart with you on a new project I am working on over at .co that will support the small businesses in our community (the Lake Norman area)!
If you would like more information or are interested in being involved in having your business featured, please let me know in the comments below or by sending me your email in a dm.
You all are always so supportive and I appreciate you so much!
Just finishing up this raining day beauty and wanted to share.
Sharing this beautiful bride today ✨ Happy 4th everyone!
Happy Saturday all ⭐️ this post is a little out of my norm, but that’s ok. I recently came across a fb memory of one of my first engagement sessions I did in 2016. It made me reflect on how far I’ve come since picking up my first camera in 2009. I think with any business, it is easy to let insecurities creep in. I constantly worry if this increasingly saturated career is what I’m supposed to be doing. This career has definitely made me grow some thick skin, have sleepless nights, and experience some major stress. However, sticking through those things is something I’m very proud of. If I didn’t love what I do, I don’t know that I would have stuck around. But I do love it - and that’s why it’s so good for me to reflect.
I realize anyone can simply click a button, but not everyone can capture emotion as well. Not everyone can capture someone’s personality. Not everyone can make you feel calm and comfortable with being in front of a camera. Not everyone can be a photographer, coordinator, boutonnière pinner, and wedding dress zipper all at one time. Not everyone can see the beauty in the ordinary. But I can.
Photography is so much more than simply clicking a button. Gear doesn’t matter. It’s the effort behind the gear. Sometimes I have to reflect, realize, and remind even myself that.
If you’ve stuck with me on this long rant - thank you. Although I’m much of a social media introvert, here’s a photo of me, that my husband loves, taken by an iPhone, showing the face behind the business.
This one has been patiently in my que for a while now just waiting to be shared, and I feel like now is the perfect time. There are so many images from last year I have yet to share, and this is just one of them 🤍
Some maternity magic from yesterday ✨
I wanted a space to celebrate the graduating seniors here. I’ve watched these two grow up and become the amazing humans they are today. What a privilege that has been.
Here are a few images from their sessions. Art-filled portraiture is a favorite of mine, so these fill my heart with joy for many reason.
Congratulations, to all of this year’s seniors!
I wanted to share a few sneaks from this past weekend from Jessi and Dalton’s wedding. It may have been a rainy one, in no shape or form did that make their day any less beautiful. We all went with the flow, and the outcome of these images show the bliss of the day. Thank you and for letting me capture your day.
Celebrating these two today big time 🤍 I’m so honored to be able to capture it all!
Happy Sunday lovelies 🤍 I truly hope it’s a beautiful one.
Some family sweetness in b&w 🤍
Imagery through a window pane, I’ve noticed, has a unique feeling.
It’s just a thin piece of glass showing what’s in front of you while reflecting what’s behind you.
It’s almost as if the viewer has allowed some extra sliver of privacy to the subject, while still appreciating its beauty. Letting it be, undisturbed. Letting it have its moment.
To me, it’s a similar feeling as when you’re driving down the road when it’s dark. You can see life happening in the homes as you pass them by - quickly prying into the windows - leaving you with a feeling of content. Appreciating the joy of another. Letting them be - yet happy for them in their bliss.
How wonderful it could be if we could all appreciate each others beauty and find joy in each others bliss. No jealousy. Just contentment for the life through the window pane.

Just finished up this engagement session for Molly and Loring 🌸Living in NC, we have some faux spring days where the foliage gets confused and start to bloom. Although unplanned, our timing aligned perfectly with these confused cherry blossoms as they provided such a romantic backdrop. This engagement session gave me a breath of fresh air (both during shooting and editing) that I very much needed.
I worked hard on getting this gallery on my website today! It’s such a beautiful one. Check it out if you have the time (link below)!
PS: Swipe to see who really stole the show…
“I knew I would be excited to capture their special day - but my goodness, I did not anticipate the amount of beauty it would have. Tons of florals, black candlesticks, touches of gold. All at one of the most beautiful venues in Charlotte: The VanLandingham Estate. After their intimate ceremony, we took a walk through the gardens, and all I had to do capture their reaction to one another. It was so pure, they needed very little direction. Jason and Brittany were so elegant and stunning - but the one that really stole the show…. their fur child: Georgia!”

I just need this blurry bunch of love on here. Have a good weekend ✌🏻
My idea of a headshot/branding session = artful.
I loved my time with the other day. She’s so talented and really has a heart for other small business owners. My camper/home is filled with her creations. Go check her out ✨
A bit of yesterday’s uptown Charlotte engagement session. I loved experimenting with a slow shutter and this super cute couple!
I enjoyed this little impromptu shoot with this sweet mama and her sweet baby. More of these please ✨
Capturing weddings that have culture and heritage woven into the day, is something I consider to be a huge honor. One that I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate. I can’t wait to share more from yesterday, but until then…here is yesterday’s beautiful bride ✨
It’s that weird time of year after the busy wedding season where things have calmed down but are yet still busy all the same. In the midst of wedding season chaos, I always think I’m ready for this downtime, but in all honesty - there’s an oddness to it. In between portrait sessions, and taxes, I try to do blog posts and website facelifts. While going over my “About” page I realized I very rarely share anything about myself let alone a BTS of me working. So here’s a rare one for this feed.
If you’re interested….here’s my very short “about” that I’ve curated on my website. If you by chance have suggestions feel free to send them my way:
“Hey, Im Erin. Thank you for visiting my website! Photography has been a part of my life for over ten years now - ever since I picked up a camera right after high school. My hobby to document my world travels, eventually turned into a career overtime. I now offer a wide variety of sessions including families, equine, maternity, headshots, seniors, and of course weddings.
My Style: is candid and emotional, romantic, un-posed. I like to capture the moments that are real and genuine. The moments that mean the most. When you look down and your hair is blowing in the wind. When you look at your love and can't help but smile. When you hug your grandmother before you walk down the aisle and a tear falls down her cheek. A desire for my imagery is to evoke emotion while remaining timeless. Thats my style. I love meeting new people, making new friends, and traveling to new places.....
Personal Life: I live in a small town in North Carolina that's right above Charlotte (Mooresville, NC). I have been married to my husband, Scott, for eight years now, and we have a seven year old son named Noah. We also have a sweet golden-doodle named Ollie.
I would love to meet you and get to know you as well! It would be an honor to capture your most precious moments!”

I feel like I say this about every gallery, but I’m really in love with this one. There was just so much beauty in every detail and they were the absolute sweetest couple. This was just a great wedding to be a part of and I’m so thankful I was the one that got to capture it.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like the blurry/soft focus photo trend. If you don’t know, photographers either love it or hate it. I usually stray from trends but this one I’m on board with. It’s what makes art such a personal experience - you get to have your own opinion and choice of style. I’m curious to what you all think of the blurry/soft focus trend?
These images are from yesterday’s very romantic wedding. These two ooze elegance and it was such a pleasure to photograph them. The second photo is the same of the first because instagram doesn’t know the standard size of images. Happy Sunday everyone!
After a double header weekend, with the most beautiful weddings and sweet couples, I’m happy to be home. My phone didn’t work all weekend so I wasn’t able to share much, but here I am with my new iPhone 14 Pro testing it all out by posting a sweet and simple detail from this weekend. Check my stories for more 🤍

Here is a little bit from yesterday that I just couldn't wait to dive into. I wish I could express the amount of joy this session gave me. If trail riding next to the Catawba River wasnt heaven enough already, I was able to collide my two worlds and shoot during our ride. I can promise you will see more of these very soon... If anyone else needs an art-filled equestrian session, let me know!
These two made it easy. I love when couples come with and open mind and trust me with our time together. They let their walls down and decided to let their true selves shine through. You can tell in their images and I am in love with how they are turning out. I can’t wait to share more from Jacob and Amanda’s engagement session.
I delivered a beautiful wedding today and wanted to share 🤍

I’m the worst at being able to make decisions, so choosing what to post isn’t always easy when you have too many favorites. So…. which one is your favorite 1, 2, 3, or 4?
