First: I wanted to share these portraits of the wonderful Nanny family. I love how we achieved a healthy mix of posed and candid moments. Allowing moments of fun has been so rewarding during family sessions. Fruit snacks help too 👍🏻

Second: I love that Liz incorporated her color analysis results for their family photo session. The overall tones of these images are beautiful on their own. However, wearing colors that compliment you best really help to elevate the imagery and this session really reflects that. I stayed awake many nights wondering if I should add this service to my list, and I’m so glad I did. Hello! I don’t share many photos of myself, but snagged this one while I was shooting a wedding with him and wanted to share. Thanks Seth!

Photography became a hobby of mine 15 years ago. I was mostly capturing my travels and little shoots here and there. It was about 7 years ago that I would consider when I started shooting as a professional. It’s been such a blessing in so many ways. I’ve been able to stay home with my son (who is now 8 by the way) and have the flexibility to be there for my loved ones.

My main focus during a wedding is to capture moments how they happen, and only interfere when necessary. Those candid, pure moments. I strive to be authentic in every way possible. I want to be a calming, helpful presence on your day and not add to any chaos. My title is photographer, but I am usually proud to be much more than that on your wedding day (dress zipper, boutonnière pinner, the list could go on forever). The same goes with all other sessions (wardrobe advisor, hair fixer, jacket holder - it’s all part of the job).

I am currently getting my second certification in color analysis with my goal being to add this as a tool for future clients where it be for head shots, family sessions, or even weddings. If you want to see more about color analysis, follow me on where I’ll be sharing more as I go.

Hey all, I wanted to share a little bit about what I’ve been up to lately.

Photography has been such a blessing for me all of these years. I’ve been able to stay home with my son, while helping support my family, and meet amazing people along the way. I’m always thinking of ways to evolve and grow whether that be through education or other investments. Avoiding burnout and not becoming stagnant is important to me.

Over the past few months I have been diving deep into a new avenue that I am excited to share about. I am currently working to gain my second certification in Color Analysis!

If you don’t know what color analysis is, it’s a technique that was used in the 80s that has recently re-emerged in popularity. The process takes your natural features (eyes, hair, skin) and puts you into a specific season that will tell you what colors you should be wearing in your wardrobe, jewelry, makeup, hair, and so much more. There are 4 seasons and each season has 3 sub-seasons. Everyone fits into one of those 12 sub-seasons. This service will be offered online, in-person (color drape session), or with parties/events. I have created a separate IG account to share information specifically on color analysis if you’d like to follow along:

My goal is it offer this tool to my photography clients to elevate their sessions with me whether it be headshots, family sessions, or even weddings. I also want to offer it to non-clients who are also interested in learning their season as well.

If you already know your season, I have created an Amazon storefront that is categorized into each season for easy shopping. I have also created digital color swatches for each season so you can color match your clothing, jewelry, makeup, and more (available on my website)!
