Update for tomorrow's sessions at Ruhlig's.

If you are booked for one of my private sessions either Saturday or Sunday morning, please read this update.

These sessions will be run back to back, every 15 minutes. It is very important that you show up before your scheduled time so that you are ready to go at your appointment time. The sessions will be held towards the back of the greenhouse. Please ask an employee if you need help finding me. Payment is due at the time of your session via cash, check, or Venmo. Cash is preferred 😀

I have the opportunity to have Christmas mini sessions at this gorgeous private horse farm the Sunday after Thanksgiving (the 26th). Before I open up bookings, I wanted to see if I have interest. Session would be 20 mins, include 10 digital images, and would be $200. If I get 3 families interested, I’ll begin booking. The horse barn (pictured), stone bridge, pond, and pasture can be used as gorgeous backgrounds.

And if you want to make your session even better, a horse can be added for an additional cost😘

UPDATE!!! These have been filled. If you missed snagging a spot, please stay tuned to Ruhlig's page. You will have a chance to book a smaller session with me through them. I'm extremely grateful and humbled to say that these filled in 20 minutes. You all sure know how to make a girl feel loved! See you all soon!

I'm excited to announce Michigan Christmas Minis 2023!!!! (North Carolina clients....please stay tuned! I have an awesome opportunity for you as well. I should be releasing details early next week.)

These will all take place at Ruhlig's Farms and Gardens on December 2nd and 3rd from 9am-10:45am. These session will not include Santa. (Ruhlig's will be having Santa photos this weekend as well, but you will book with them. They will be releasing details soon and yes I will be the photographer! Wahoo)

The sessions will be 15 minutes long, will include 7 edited digital images, and can include up to 6 people. (Please book a second session if you have more than 6). The background will be set up to look like a tree farm (imagine rows of trees, string lights, greenery on the ground) and I'm hopeful it will include a vintage couch (If anyone has one they would like to sell, please send me photos) The cost for these is $150 and a $50 non-refundable deposit will be due when booking.

To book, please private message me with your preferred date and I will send you back a time to confirm. I will begin answering and booking appointments tomorrow morning in the order that I receive messages. (First come, first serve) If I don't hear back from you by 5:00 pm tomorrow, your session will be given to the next person in line. Deposits will be taken via venmo or check.

Many of you have noticed that my page has been a bit quiet this summer. My normal trips to Michigan haven't happened, and I feel the time has come to share my story. In April I had a surgery that revealed I had ovarian cancer. On June 29th I had a second surgery to remove some things out of caution, but also to be sure that the cancer had not spread. I'm happy to say that I am currently cancer free. Sadly these two surgeries took all of my time and energy this summer. I'm finally beginning to feel like myself again and plan to return to Michigan the first week in December for Ruhlig's Farm Santa photos and also a couple of minis at the tree farm. I'm sad that I wasn't able to see everyone this summer/fall, but I plan to be back next year.

Now on to a little bit about this gorgeous senior. Ms. Zoe is the daughter of some dear Michigan friends. Her momma had been checking in with me throughout the summer in hopes that I would be coming to Michigan for senior photos. When I shared that a trip with multiple shoots was a bit to much, she kindly suggested them coming to NC for their shoot. I had already done a couple shoots since surgery, so my answer was a HUGE YES!! What a fun time we had capturing these special moments and even got to spend the evening catching up and having dinner with a sunset over the lake. Kerri and Zoe thank you for allowing me to be part of this special time and for making the trip to NC.

Oh, hey handsome!!!

I know I'm going to embarrass him a little, but I just have to do it!

As a young boy, our families would camp together in Michigan. A couple of years ago I received a message from his mom that they were entertaining the idea of also moving to North Carolina. They did in fact move, as well as his sweet grandma. I was honored to be able to help them with their real estate needs. During the home "shopping" process, I was able to spend time with this handsome fella. He has grown to be an outstanding young man. He is in the top of his glass for GPA, student body president, volunteers his time at a local non-profit that provides food and helps folks find jobs, employee at Trump National tennis, and the list goes on. He is well spoken, kind, and always has a smile on his face.

I am so incredibly proud of the young man you have become. You are going to do AMAZING things and I'm excited to see how your journey unfolds!

This is one of the first families I started consistently photographing when I moved to North Carolina. Recently they made the decision to move back "home". I will miss these faces, but momma promised to to let me know when they are back for visits. Thank you for letting me capture you one last time before the big move. I can't wait to hug you all again soon!
