💐Our last bouquet drop of the season 😢

With frost in the forecast for the next two nights, and with an immense amount of work ahead of me to prepare for the 2027 growing season, I share these last bouquets with you, the community of Hammondsport, and thank you for allowing me to share my passion with you! We will return in 2027 with loads of early spring flowers beginning sometime in March!

To my Service Station FLX Cafe family, thank you for allowing me the space to grow with you. I can’t wait to see all of the exciting new ideas you bring to life for 2027 :)

A Rehearsal Dinner for Kristy & Zach 💙

Kristy’s vision, shared by her mom Laurie, centered around blue as the focal color for her wedding celebrations. True blue flowers are rare in nature, so we leaned on delphinium — in full bloom at the farm right now — balanced against soft whites and buttery yellows in dahlias, cosmos, and stock.

There was a sweet surprise in this one too: when Laurie’s information came through, I realized she’s from my hometown in Michigan — where most of my family still lives. It’s a small reminder of how much home shapes us, no matter where life takes us.

Kristy and Zach are on the brink of building a life and home of their own. Getting to design their vision and watch it bloom into something real on this special weekend is one of the greatest privileges of this work.

Congratulations, Kristy & Zach!

Limelight 🍋‍🟩 ☀️

I’ve been doing a lot of research on color design with flowers, and am loving the creative freedom The Petalstone House gives me (plus the fun vases to work with!)

My queen lime zinnias are putting on quite a show recently, and I love how they contrast with my purple flowers shades in bouquets!

The best part is that guests can enjoy these blooms each time they book with The Petalstone House knowing they are coming directly from our sustainable farm, and with intention behind the design.

Happy Wednesday, friends!

Field wrap-up pre-vacay!

While it might look strange, I spent time this morning covering as many of the dahlia buds as I could to ensure bug-free blooms without using pesticides. I like to do this while I am away for more than two days. You’ll also see some questionable corral-ing with tw**e, as I’ve noticed the winds have picked up. These beauties needed a bit more support too!

I’ll have to wait over a week to see how much everything has grown, bloomed and nestled into its newly supported space. Follow up pics to come!
