Well we definitely got our kicks in 2026 at the San Juan County Fair. As we work to complete the cleanup, I want to extend my heartfelt thank you to the many people who made this special event possible.
To our incredible volunteers—your time, energy, and dedication are the backbone of this fair. You stepped up in countless ways, and I couldn't do it without you. Every year you remind me of the greatness of the people of this wonderful County.
To my fair staff—the immense amount of work you accomplished throughout the week did not go unnoticed. You worked tirelessly behind the scenes, late nights and early mornings, to ensure everything ran smoothly, and this fair would not be possible without you.
To our Rodeo and County Royalties- the many hours you put in to help run events is a ton of extra work on your already full plates and I'm so grateful to each of you. You were great representatives of the youth of our communities and you truly make the fair a fun place to be. Each of your families should be proud of the wonderful young ladies you are.
To the families, friends, and community members who came to support, participate, and celebrate—thank you for showing up and keeping the spirit of our fair alive. Your participation is what makes this tradition so meaningful.
To our talented young people—your hard work, commitment, and pride in your animals, projects, and events are inspiring. You represent the future of our community, and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort you put into everything you do.
To those who shared their creativity and skill through exhibits in the fair building—thank you for adding beauty, talent, and tradition to the fair experience.
To those who fought the Babylon fire—your courage and tireless efforts in battling the fire will not be forgotten. Because of you, we were able to gather, celebrate, and carry on something that means so much to our communities.
To our County commissioners- thank you for continuing to support this event and seeing the value in the San Juan County Fair, that allows us to celebrate each other all the things we have in common in this wonderful county.
The San Juan County Fair is more than an event to me —it is a reflection of who we are: resilient, hardworking, and deeply connected. I've put my whole heart into this for 26 years and I thank you all for being a part of it.
