🎉 BIG NEWS, MONTGOMERY. 🎉
After 68 years – yes, since 1958 – Montgomery Ballet has a permanent home. We now own the building at 104 Coliseum Boulevard (the former Dixie Cleaners, totally renovated into a beautiful arts hub with studios, a costume shop, and an intimate black box theater).
To celebrate, we’re doing something rare:
FREE public performances – tonight AND tomorrow night at 7:00 PM.
Friday, May 8
✨ The Fairy Doll Ballet (1903 classic – whimsical & brilliant)
✨ Lights (contemporary piece set to electronic music – dark, luminous, powerful)
Saturday, May 9
🌊 Ocean and Pearls (excerpt from The Little Humpbacked Horse)
💃 La Vivandière (lively one-act ballet with virtuosic pas de deux)
✨ Lights (revived by popular demand)
Where: 104 Coliseum Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36109
When: 7:00 PM both nights
Cost: $0. Free. Seriously.
Seating is VERY limited – it’s a black box theater, so every seat is great, but there aren’t many.
This building happened because of you – our community. From Bubba Dean’s extraordinary generosity to Sabel Steel, Shamrock Electric, GrayBar, John Lee Paint, the Poarch Creek Indians, Hyundai, the Mobis Foundation, and every single volunteer who kept renovation costs down. AND our county commissioners Carmen Moore-Zeigler & Justin M. Castanza, plus city council members Julie Beard & Charles W. Jinright.
We’ve been nomads since 2020. Now? Dance lives here.
Come see your ballet company in our forever home.
