Sorry we’ve been a little MIA this past month! Life has been life-ing over here. Between a sick family member, back-to-school craziness, and everything in between, we took a little break from markets—and our store shelves were definitely starting to show it. 😅

But don’t worry… WE’RE BACK, BABY! 🍿

We dropped off a big fresh restock today with some new flavors AND some old favorites! Be sure to stop by and grab a bag of Pickle or Watermelon Lime while you can—these are limited flavors, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Now we’re ready to start filling up our fall calendar! If you have a market, festival, school event, fall festival, or community event coming up and want Pop ’N Stuff there popping fresh kettle corn on site, reach out sooner rather than later. Popcorn season is about to pick back up, and Saturdays tend to fill up FAST once fall gets rolling!

🍿 Treasure #25 – Pop ’N Stuff 🍿

If you’re new here, we’re Pop ’N Stuff—a family-owned gourmet popcorn business that started in 2024 right here in Montgomery County. You may have seen our black tent with our popcorn garland at local markets, festivals, and community events. We’re proud to be the Home of the Ghost Pepper Kettle Corn, offering dozens of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors.

Believe it or not, popcorn wasn’t the original plan! I started a small business called Salves N Such, and we began popping fresh popcorn simply to draw people to our booth. Before long, everyone was asking for Jasper’s popcorn instead. He started experimenting with new flavors, and before we knew it, my little salve booth had turned into a full-fledged popcorn business.

If you’ve ever visited our tent, you’ve probably met Jasper behind the kettle. He genuinely loves what he does and puts so much care into every batch he pops. Seeing people discover a new favorite flavor is still one of our favorite parts of every market.

Many of you also know us from our annual Jumbo Easter Egg Hunt, which has become one of our favorite traditions. We love creating fun experiences that bring families together, and we love supporting other local businesses. That’s what inspired Montgomery County Treasures, and we couldn’t be more grateful to every business that joined us—and to all the others who reached out wanting to be part of it.

From our family to yours, thank you for supporting Pop ’N Stuff. Every bag of popcorn, every share, every visit to our tent, and every time you choose to shop local means the world to us. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

📚 Treasure #24 – Get Fictional 🕯️

Owner Keely Mahaffey has created a space where books, handcrafted candles, and imagination come together to create an experience that’s as unique as the stories on the shelves.

If you’re drawn to spooky stories, horror, paranormal, dark romance, or fantasy, you’ll feel right at home. Keely has created a cozy little haven for readers who love those genres year-round. Alongside carefully curated books, you’ll find handcrafted soy candles, wax melts, diffusers, perfumes, Blind Date with a Book surprises, bookish gifts, and artwork from independent artists—making it the perfect place to browse, explore, and discover something new.

It’s easy to see how much heart Keely has poured into this shop. She’s created a welcoming space that reflects her creativity and love for reading. And if you’re on TikTok, be sure to give a follow—her videos are creative, funny, and give you a great glimpse into the personality behind the shop.
