Outdoor. Every single time. 😍

Yesterday I made y'all choose between an indoor or outdoor ceremony, and this one is EASY for me.

Now, as the owner of a rental company, I should probably admit that outdoor ceremonies usually mean you're going to need a whole lot more from us. So clearly I'm completely unbiased here. 😂

But that's honestly not why I'd choose it. This opinion goes back way before we owned Brendle. After years of planning weddings, I'm still an absolute sucker for an outdoor ceremony.

I'm obsessed with the surroundings.

Give me outside. Give me the trees. The grass. A beautiful view. A body of water. Mother Nature has already done half the decorating for you.

You don't have to compete with the setting. You just have to make it a little better with the right pieces.

And, here's a little full-circle moment: Before Brendle, I was a wedding planner and florist—and I used Brendle for this event (and pretty much every event 💯) long before I ever imagined we'd own the company.

So yep. Outdoor.

Now somebody remind me I said all this the next time I'm watching the weather radar 48 hours before a wedding. 😂

Fall is coming... and apparently we decided we needed more furniture. 😂

A LOT more furniture. 🤪

Mike has been building like crazy getting us ready for fall event season, and there's currently furniture in just about every stage of production around here.

I love that we're not limited to what we can order out of a catalog. If we need something, want something, or have an idea for something...there's a pretty good chance we're going to try to build it.

Now we just have to get it all finished before fall gets here. 😂

I'm going to brag on our guys for a minute. 🙌

This was the first full ceiling drape we'd tackled at Montgomery Country Club, and it was a BIG one.

I knew we could do it. But watching them work through every detail and bring the whole thing together was something else.

And when it was finished...It looked freaking amazing. 🤯

Most of our guys didn't come to us with years of event experience. They've learned. They've gotten better and better. They've taken on bigger challenges. And they're doing things today that we weren't doing two years ago.

Beautiful ceiling? Absolutely. But what I'm proudest of is the team that made it happen.

They killed this one. 👏

📣Somebody WILL notice.

We spent HOURS on the finishing details of this setup. 🥰

I'll be the first to admit—we haven't gotten this right every single time.

There have been setups I've looked back at and thought, we could've finished that better......we could've done that better! 🫣

It's easy at the end of a long install to say, “That's good enough. Nobody will notice.”
But, we're working really hard to get that phrase out of our vocabulary.

Take the extra time. Fix it. Straighten it. Finish it.

Because details matter. And somebody WILL notice.

Even if that somebody is me. 😂

Well... apparently I'm wrong. 😂

Y'all were pretty much unanimous yesterday: UPGRADE THE CHAIRS.

But it's my turn now. And.....I'm choosing D. Custom Bar. 😝

Hear me out...... I believe every event needs a focal point. I'm a sucker for a statement piece - that one thing that makes you walk into the space and go, “Okayyyyy.” 👌

It doesn't always have to be a bar. It might be a dramatic entrance, a statement backdrop, a seating area or something completely custom.

Give me the budget and I'm going to find somewhere to make a statement.

So yep. I'm sticking with the custom bar.

But let's be clear—I'm probably going to talk you into upgrading the chairs too. 😂
