The opening number of Pippin invites us to "leave our field to flower...come and waste an hour or two..." We are beguiled to suspend disbelief and dwell in Pippin's soaring songs and blatant, inspiring theatrics. What a glorious way to spend an evening--or matinee! Our investment for all Pippin's joyful, dramatic bounty are our own ignited imaginations and...some time. In a world where the internet is a treasure trove of possibilities and, sometimes, outrageous promises, it begs the question: where should we commit our time this summer...or our teen's or child's time? It's awful, isn't it? Your kind, smart, creative teen or child comes home devastated...others are being mean to him or her, sometimes egregiously so. No doubt: we live in a world where bullying, now weaponized by social media, can scar a young person's psyche, sometimes profoundly so. While we don't have the magic potion to stop bullying (we wish we did!), we do know that activities that shore up a teen's or child's true sense of him or herself can make all the difference in their school and social life. For Our Teens: Our mission is to help you grow and embrace your individuality, while also forging new bonds. What to expect:

1. You understand that theatre has a component of both play and work and you commit yourself to immersing yourself in both.

2. You can be a team player and realize that great acting work is about connecting, sharing, supporting and being supported by your fellow actors.

3. You are interested in being dramatically great onstage and are not interested in being a drama queen–or king–offstage.

4. You want to be in a friendly environment with others who are interested in working toward a great final play.

5. You want to be treated like an intelligent, mature young developing adult who has questions that need to be answered and goals that you are willing to work toward. Don’t worry: you’ll have plenty of support from a very talented and dedicated staff who wants to assist you toward your personal best!
