I have a heartwarming tradition with one of my life skills students this year. Every Friday, if he has had a good week, I draw him the creature of his choice. It's amazing to see the joy such a simple act brings him, and it's a much-needed reminder of why I love my job and running my own business. Even in a year that has been incredibly tough on educators, that smile makes the challenges worth it.
