A few days ago my life came full circle when I had the pleasure of hosting a lunch for the Maine Downtown Center and the Monson Collaborative. Five years ago, when I moved to Maine, I sat on a panel at the Skowhegan Library with many of these wonderful people talking about how I wanted to open a cafe in Monson. To be able to feed them and talk about my love for this community and all of the amazing new businesses in town was truly a blessing. I can't wait to see what kind of magic we can create in the next five years!

MDC Advisory Council traveled to Monson, one of our Maine Downtown Affiliate programs, this week. What a wonderful meeting, lunch and walking tour with the Monson Collaborative. We learned and shared and laughed. Thanks for the great visit.

If you're coming to town for weekend go check out this brand new coffee business in Abbot called The Mobile Mug and grab one of our hand rolled bagels and their amazing wood fire roasted !

I love being able to work with new local businesses and McKenzie and her partner are all about quality and sustainability so go support them!

I still get all the feels when I look at this picture... My badass friend and fellow entrepreneur took on the 100-mile wilderness solo and our bagels were able to keep her nourished during her hike. If you're hiking the AT and stop through Monson, check out Jeneve's new business, Rest Day Sauna! It's absolutely magical and sauna has changed my life for the better!

I'm so excited to be working with Rose’s Sourdough . This amazing baker and mama makes everything from scratch and you can tell she puts so much love into everything she makes. We're very grateful to have makers like her who are passionate about real food and supporting local! If you have local products you'd like to sell at our cafe, please reach out, we'd love to support you!!! This includes art, jewelry, honey, produce, etc. If you're thinking of starting your own food product line and need help getting started, we are a community kitchen here to help guide you through the process!
