For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? Matt 9:5
The day of atonement (Yom Kippur) is the evening of the 15th. This time leading into it is often seen as a time of repentance. Every day is the day to choose life! I encourage you to chew on the book of Hebrews. The redeemed have perpetual access through The High Priest Jesus/Yeshua to the Holy of Holies.
Leviticus 23:23-25
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. ‘You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.’ ”

Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies (entire being) a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!” And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-fourfn elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.
