From our very first conversation with Jhazmon West of A Beautiful Event in September 2024, shortly after our engagement, we knew we had found the right person to help us bring our wedding vision to life. We officially locked her in soon after, and looking back, it was truly one of the BEST decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning process.
From September 2024 all the way to our wedding day on January 18, 2026, Jhazmon was so much more than our wedding planner. She became our sounding board, problem solver, voice of reason, resource for EVERYTHING, and eventually someone who genuinely felt like family and honestly, she still does to this day.
One of the things that made our experience so special was how well Jhazmon and I meshed. We are very similar in the way we handle business we both appreciate communication, organization, follow-through, and getting things DONE. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself “Type A,” but I definitely know what I like, I have ideas, and I’m not afraid to voice my opinion. Not once did Jhazmon ever make me feel like I was being difficult, doing too much, or needed to shrink my vision. Instead, she listened.
She created a space where I always felt comfortable speaking up, asking questions, changing my mind, or saying, “Okay, hear me out…” 😂 And somehow, I could give her an idea that was still halfway formed in my head, and she would take it, refine it, elevate it, and transform it into something even better than I imagined. She never took my vision away from me, she enhanced it. That meant everything to me.
Our planning journey was truly a breeze because of her. She was organized, professional, knowledgeable, responsive, incredibly resourceful, and always seemed to be ten steps ahead. If we had a question, she had an answer. If we needed a recommendation, she had a resource. If something needed to be handled, we never had to wonder if it would get done. She simply handled it.
What I appreciated most was that Jhazmon never made us feel like we were just another wedding on her calendar. She cared about us, our experience, and the vision we had for our day. She took the time to understand what mattered to us and made sure those things were reflected throughout the entire process.
And somewhere along the way, the relationship became bigger than wedding planning. She became family. Even now, months after the wedding is over, that relationship remains and I think that speaks volumes about the kind of person she is beyond the business.
By the time January 18th arrived, we were able to actually be present and enjoy our wedding day because we trusted her completely. I didn’t feel like I needed to oversee every detail or worry about what was happening behind the scenes. Jhazmon had it. That kind of peace on one of the biggest days of your life is priceless.
Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be, but the experience leading up to it was just as special and Jhazmon played such a huge part in that.
