Me decorating without balloons…a challenge for sure! I tend to think EVERYTHING needs balloons. Hear me out on this idea I seen on IG. Gather your most creative friends, everyone brings homemade, homegrown, home crafted items. Enough for ALL guests. Exchange in a wonderful evening of talents, new friends and ideas. It truly brings out the best in women building community with each other and is most needed during these insane uncertain times. Fortunately I know a lot of creative women! I had a painter, seamstress, crotchetier, several crafters, a baker & jewelry maker! I made homemade cardamon carmels, pumpkin fair wands and had a side craft bar to make guest totes. We all walked away with fun treasures! Nobody knew what each other was bringing. It was like a lady holiday on steroids! 🤣👏🍁 I theme everything so we had a hot soup and potato bar with autumn treats that everyone contributed to as well. The food was outrageously good! Special shout out to my friend Deborah who makes the best soups I have ever tasted! Her cooking excels, always homemade and yummy and she even brought her focaccia. Want to create magic? Put a smile on your face? Create a community of sisters to help you cope? GATHER CREATIVE WOMEN….I will be doing this again at the end of January and it will be a valentine theme. When fathers get involved…they pick the colors! This happy dad wanted a royal blue, shiny disco curtain swaray to match the table cloths he picked out and so I gave it to him. 😆💯 What the client wants? I aim to please. I am always completely blown away by Indian dads and their involvement and commitment to their family’s. I have done hundreds of parties and only Indians dads scurry around and do everything. The moms walz in like royal queens in their ballgowns. It’s really fun for me to see men get completely submerged into these events. Shocking actually. I think it’s a cultural thing. White American men? Could care less about details, events, decor, gathering people, having fun etc. 🤷‍♀️ Indian dads? They blow it outta the park every single time and I am literally gobsmacked EVERY SINGLE TIME it happens. I am currently working on two other events lead by dads and I never tire of being shocked. 😆 colors and theme? Belong to this proud papa. All my suggestions? Tossed. 😆

Throw a party…no reason at all needed other than you just want to celebrate the life you have and to gather the laughter of children, friends and neighbors. 💕 During the slow season I am going to be evolving into more rentals and teaching DIY decor. We are barreling towards an economic down turn. Rather than outright sell my business; I am going to change it. I have had two slow summers and cannot sustain my overhead. Between the tariffs on goods/products, client party cancellations because of economic stress and outdoor weather extremes with changing climate; I must evolve. Most cannot afford luxury deco services and I get that. What humans absolutely cannot live without is HOPE and JOY and I absolutely get that as well. So I will change my business to accommodate changing times. Instead of hiring me to decorate, come to a (TBA) decor basics class and rent my equipment for a fraction of the cost. I have it all. Entertainment, decor, bouncy houses galore. Instead of me coming to your home and throwing a $350 snowcone party? Rent my professional machine for $50 and DIY. You want arches? I have arches…I have fun stuff I have bought but never used. Inflatable movie screen? Got that as well. Let’s face it, EVERYTHING price wise is going up. Families can no longer take a bunch of kids anywhere without shoveling out gobs of $$$. Don’t. Keep your kids safe at home, throw your own parties, save a buck and just DYI everything. I don’t like to get overly political on my business page but elections have consequences and we are ALL being robbed daily and the money is running out for most of us. As a woman who has lived a very emotional tragic life; one bit of advice. Do not let the joy go no matter what. Come hell or high water…throw the damn party, make the children happy no matter what is going on. Create the illusion for the wee ones. They deserve to smile and giggle. Long ago I threw a party for a little boy who was getting a bone marrow transplant because he was dying of cancer. If I can do that? You can also throw a party when things are hard. Be well my friends. 🥰💕🥳

I get attached to families. It’s not just a job for me nor is the $$ relevant. It’s about creating the experience. It’s knowing when I walk away, I leave a family with a set up and memories that will last their life time. I think about the families I serve, tuck them into my heart and wish them all well even if I never see them again. This is my 5th party for this special family. I am apart of them now. Woven into their celebrations with every milestone they have with their beautiful children. The mother’s laughter is infectious. She is the ultimate light of their world. I love to decorate for her just to hear her laughter and happiness. She is a splendid human being and I love that for her children. I needed this party this month. I rarely tell my clients about my personal life. It’s just not professional but this month? Of all months? I desperately needed to decorate a carnival for one very lucky little boy child. The sweet mama will never truly know what this meant to me. She sent me so many lovely photos to tuck into my heart of his cake smash. All done by the lovely photography. Be kind out there…we never know the story behind the story. 🥹🥰

Mama hit this one outta the park with the theme! It was a stunning Bridgerton tea party swaray for her daughter lady Arzoyi! She contacted me in March with her vision and we made it come to life. Every detail right down to her stunning box of shortbread cookies for her lovely guests was attended too. A mocktail bar, buffet of finger sandwiches and petite culinary delights. Everything was PERFECT. Sure, behind the scenes we sweated the weather quite a bit but in the end? It came out utterly delightful. Shout out to my partner in crime Deborah for the haul of the year…it was a ton of props. Mamas! Get creative with your themes like this lady! The ONLY thing that can get me to do a park party now? Is a good theme. 🥰🎉

Dhvani’s big FOURest adventure was held Saturday afternoon! Parents created this amazing chaat buffet and I did the decor! What a wonderful everyone had! What you don’t see is the back drop tied to the back fence and 50 pounds of weights holding everything down. Weather is a decorators worst enemy and we sweat bullets the ENTIRE time we are setting up. I took my giant teepee for wee ones just to have fun in. All stuffies ended up there by the time I came to clean up. 😂

Mama contacted me saying her 2 year old girl was obsessed with spiders. We needed to build a theme around that. How about cute itsy bitsy spider and friends tea party complete with tiny tea trolley and all the trimmings? PERFECT! What a wonderful time we all had! Mom is also a family photographer who takes excellent photos. Her husband is a videographer. They are awesome to work with! Please consider hiring them 🤩

PNW forest gender neutral baby shower theme for this lovely expecting couple. Mama had details she wanted down pat and was such a delight to work for. I love doing baby showers for families, such a wonderful and happy phase of life. 🥰

My first request for K-pop demon hunters! I had to do a bit of research for this party! 😂 I didn’t even know who they were but I guess hip 6 year olds do? Event came complete with matching gift boxes, craft table full of activities for children, dance music and all the trimmings for this sweet 6 year old. New venue for me as well. I have never decorated the Snoqualamie golf club.

Springtime parties for my beloved wee ones! That’s what I do when I am not working, yes…I still decorate and throw parties! Here’s the thing with me, children and providing them with happiness, memories & laughter is utterly everything to me. It’s my bliss. Find things to celebrate, make the moments even when times are hard. 🥰🌸🐰 Happy Spring everyone!
