I never thought I would be filming a wedding on Super Bowl Sunday. In fact, in 19 years of being in business I never even had an inquiry for a Super Bowl Sunday wedding…until and . Honestly, when they booked me I had no idea it was going to be on the super bowl (almost 2 years ago), but even if I did know, I would have said YES a million times over to get to hang with these two amazing and unique people - and having a full house of guests shows all their family and friends agreed - a little ol’ football game is no match for these two wonderful people!
Why Super Bowl Sunday? It was such an important date to them. 9 years ago to the day, Paula and Justin went on their first date, and now they get to celebrate their first date anniversary and their wedding anniversary on the same day!
I’ve filmed hundreds of weddings throughout my career and every single couple and wedding is unique, but none as much as these two. They are so free spirited and fun and incorporated so much of their personalities into the wedding. A cheese hat, a Darth Vader mask and Jason Vorhees (I mean we were at Crystal Lake after all), the wedding had it all - it was even snowing! I thought it was going to be such a tough task to incorporate all their fun with all their love and make a coherent film, but the story of the day wrote itself and the editing flowed. In the end, their film is a perfect representation of the love these two have for each other, their love for their family and friends, their quirkiness, and the overall feeling of the best day of their lives!
Special thanks to for being so awesome to work with as always, for being great with the music and great to work with, and .beaute for making the already beautiful bridal party even more beautiful, for the stunning flowers and the staff at for taking care of us and treating us so well!
Enjoy Paula and Justin’s wedding film and make sure you watch past the title at the end for a little fun (post credit scene, like I’m making marvel movies!)!
