Sitter sessions might just be one of the most underrated milestones. 🤍

This stage is full of so many firsts—sitting independently, clapping, belly laughs, curious expressions, and all those little personality traits that are starting to shine through.

For this session, we recreated a portrait from her newborn session using the very same flower that was in her photos months ago. A simple reminder of just how much can change, and how much can stay the same✨ (newborn image at the end 🤍)

Not just the big milestones. Not just the perfectly posed ones. Print the blurry giggles, the missing teeth, the way your toddler reached for your hand, the way your baby fit perfectly on your chest.

Because one day, these photographs won’t just be pictures. They’ll be proof.
Proof of how deeply you loved.
Proof of who was there.
Proof of the little moments that felt ordinary at the time but somehow became everything.

One day, your children — and maybe even their children — will hold these photographs in their hands and feel something no phone screen could ever replace.

A new baby changes everything… not just for mom and dad, but for siblings too. 🤍

Becoming a big brother or big sister is a milestone worth documenting right alongside those newborn details.

The first cuddles. The curious looks. The tiny hands reaching for their newest best friend.

Some sessions just come together in the most perfect way 🤍

I absolutely loved this newborn session, and I truly think a huge part of that was because this family trusted me completely with the styling and overall vision. From the tones to the wardrobe to the little details, everything felt so cohesive and natural, and it made such a difference in the final gallery.

Skirt is brand new to the client closet and has interchangeable tops!! ❤

Most families reserve their spot during the second trimester so I can save room on my calendar around their due date. 🤍

That way, when your little one makes their arrival, everything is already taken care of.

One thing I always remind families is that milestone sessions do not have to be just about baby. They can easily be turned into a full family session too, which is one of my favorite ways to document this season of life.

We still capture all the sweet one year old photos and milestone moments, but we also get the connection, the cuddles, the chaos, and the memories of this season together as a family. And honestly, those are usually the photos that end up meaning the most years from now ✨

Life with boys is loud, wild & chaotic.

There are always nerf bullets flying through the house, woolly caterpillars collecting in pockets, and somehow rocks ending up in my laundry. I can’t cook dinner without getting ambushed from around the corner, and most days someone is climbing, jumping, wrestling, or bleeding. A few days ago, we ended up in the ER with Renny needing stitches because apparently that’s just part of raising boys too.

It’s messy and exhausting and overstimulating sometimes… but I honestly wouldn’t trade it for anything.

One day the house will be quiet. The nerf guns will disappear. There won’t be little muddy shoes by the door or tiny voices yelling “Mom, watch this!” every five seconds.

So for now, I’m just trying to soak it all in - the chaos, the silliness, the noise, and the absolute privilege of getting to be their mom. 🤍
