Just to be clear, this is “DAM” white and “DAM” view…not be be confused with a similar sounding bad word! 🫢

We once had an educated man (who may or may not have graduated from a popular college in Blacksburg) tell us we were degrading our wine quality having a bad word in the name. After explaining to him the spelling differences, he thought it was clever!

So just in case:
“Dam”=structure holding back water to create a lake or pond
Add a “N”=bad word! 😂

‼️Who has an old 500 gallon propane tank?!‼️

We have not gotten many suggestions of ideas to make Smith Mountain Lake Pirate Days more fun so we started brainstorming on our own…we think every pirate needs a CANNON! This 1000 gallon beast at our sister location, Wind Vineyards at Laurel Grove, may be a tad bit strong since the pumpkin goes almost a mile (we might hit Bridgewater!) but a 500 gallon version could be fun!

🎃 Since there are no pumpkins in July, we may have to use cantaloupes as our “cannon balls!”😜

While our boat is being repaired by All-Sport Mobile Service—who does an outstanding job if you need any boat repairs (you are welcome, Christian Burdette!) the Wind family had to take wave runners to the restaurant on the lake with the BEST wine selection!

Of course we are referring to Mel & Brad Eames with NAPOLI ON THE LAKE, which has award winning Wind Vineyards wines!

Next time you are hungry, go grab some awesome food at Napoli and enjoy the best wine around! 😜
