🇲🇽❤️ WHY CELEBRATE MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY IN THE UNITED STATES?
Because you don’t have to live in México for México to live in you.
For some, México is the place they were born. The streets they remember, the family they left behind, and the traditions they brought with them when they came to the United States.
For others, México is the place our parents, grandparents, or great grandparents called home. We may have been born on this side of the border, but their stories became our stories. Their traditions became our traditions. Their pride became our pride.
You can hear it in our music, taste it in our food, see it in our celebrations, and most importantly, feel it when our families and communities come together.
That’s why hearing thousands of voices yell ¡VIVA MÉXICO!can mean so much!
It’s more than celebrating a date in history.
It’s remembering where we came from while celebrating everything our families have built here.
And as a photographer, being trusted to capture these moments means more to me than simply taking pictures.
I’m documenting our story.
Those who came from México.
Those who were born and raised here.
And the younger generations who will carry our culture forward long after us.
Different stories. Different generations. Different journeys.
But a love for our cultura that continues to bring us together. 🇲🇽❤️
I’ve been blessed to capture these iconic moments in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now again in 2026, and it’s something I will never take for granted.
