While many know us on here for weddings and events at The Barn at Walnut Drive, farming is still at the heart of everything we do and it has been since 1862.
On nights when frost threatens the crop (in this case, strawberries) , there’s no clocking out. It means staying up through the night, watching the pumps, making sure the water keeps flowing to protect every berry. It’s a lot of work—but it’s what it takes to bring a good crop to the season.
So when you come out to pick strawberries, just know how much care, time, and dedication goes into every single one.
If you haven’t visited us before, where have you been?? We’d love to have you out to experience it for yourself. 🌱🍓 And when you do, be sure to thank the guy in the cowboy hat—you’ll know him when you see him—for making it all possible.
Follow Walnut Drive Gardens for updates on when the fields open for the season!
