While many know us on here for weddings and events at The Barn at Walnut Drive, farming is still at the heart of everything we do and it has been since 1862.

On nights when frost threatens the crop (in this case, strawberries) , there’s no clocking out. It means staying up through the night, watching the pumps, making sure the water keeps flowing to protect every berry. It’s a lot of work—but it’s what it takes to bring a good crop to the season.

So when you come out to pick strawberries, just know how much care, time, and dedication goes into every single one.

As we continue to grow, we’re incredibly thankful—but it’s reached the point where we need extra support during our busy season, and we are looking to bring someone on to help ✨

The Barn at Walnut Drive is looking for a Venue Coordinator to join our team for the 2026 wedding season!

This role is perfect for someone who loves weddings and enjoys being part of a couple’s big day—without the full-time commitment.

📅 Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays during peak season (May–October)
⏰ Hours: Full-day coverage on event days (as early as 8 AM and as late as 2 AM)

What you’ll do:
• Be the main point of contact for all venue-related needs on wedding days
• Ensure the space is running smoothly throughout the event
• Support vendors and couples with any venue questions
• Make sure the barn is cleaned and reset at the end of each event

We’re looking for someone who is assertive, but kind—able to take charge when needed while creating a warm, welcoming experience for our couples and their guests. This is a very important role for us, as we expect that you care for both our space and our couples the same way we would.
